Everybody keep your fingers crossed for Megan. I'm really hoping she can continue on to Goose Creek.
Shirley- good to hear from you. Whitney must be climbing the walls. Where do they have her, ship 17?

Gina, thank you for starting this group. I was hoping we could all keep in touch. Whitney is still in Great Lakes on hold. Waiting for a flight physical. Her physical is done, but the flight surgeon needs to sign the paper and he/she is on some sort of leave... One other sailor there has been waiting for this same signature for 4 months so who knows how long she will be there. She is getting antsy though.

I had to come to the midwest this last Sunday, so I added 3 days to the front of my trip and got to spend Friday and Saturday with Whitney. Oh my, it was so worth spending the air change fees!!!! But still very emotional saying goodbye :(

From Great Lakes she goes to Pensacola for Air Traffic Control school.

Looking forward to keeping in touch with everyone.

Hello everyone! Bob was also in 912 was on the Drill team. He is currently on his second week of classes for YN in Meridian Mississippi. The YN program is self paced and he is hoping to be done in the next couple of weeks. He will then wait orders to move on to Groton CT and sub school which I believe is another 4-6 weeks. He is looking forward to getting his orders for his ship.

Jordan was in DIV 093 and is staying in GL for 16 weeks of A school. He is on a 2 week hold, so hopefully next week classes will begin. His job will be a HT(hull tech)
Thanks for starting this group Gina
Scott - Megan's Husband Comment by Scott - Megan's Husband on February 24, 2009 at 10:42am
Megan's appointment is today. We did find out that they do discharge people for Kidney stones! We will know if that is the plan for her today hopefully. The bad news is that they are discharging a Sailor in the nuke program for kidney stones now. They said if she does get discharged she can come back after a year and will not have to do boot camp over.

I heard from Scott last week. He said that they (medical) decided that it was kidney stones and that she had an appointment today (2/24) with the dr.. Kidney stones are treatable and I don't think they would discharge her for that.
