Hope that everyone's having a good week so far! Mine's been busy and stressful, but it's halfway over at least! Hoping so much to get an email soon!! My mom always says, "Keep your chin up and your nose down". I think that's how I'll get through the rest of the week. :)

I talked to my son last night and he told me they are having a two week stand down starting Friday.  I mentioned coming home for a visit but he said he doesn't have any leave built up yet because he was home for over three weeks before he reported to Kings Bay. Oh well, at least he is still calling me every week!  I hope those of you with the Gold Crew hear from your sailors this week!

Thanks for the info. Maybe I will drop a hint and see what he says. Hope everyone had a great weekend!

I am like 99% sure that Winston will get a 3 day weekend.  Any federal is off on holidays and Memorial Day is one of those days.  My son was in on one of those weekends and he can down so we went to Disney Star Wars weekend.  I think that was in 2010.  Hope yall all have a nice weekend.  My neighbor came over last night and I had my first movie and pizza night since I moved into my house in July.  My son and I use to have them all the time when he was growing up.  I got a feeling that when he comes in he will be wanting some since he has to catch up on everything.

I haven't experienced them being gone on a full patrol yet, so I can only empathize with those of you on the gold crew.  I am kind of hoping that my son may come home for Memorial Day weekend.  Lin, do you know if they get Monday off or if they have to request a leave?

Lin, I'm so jealous.

I actually moved in with my boyfriend, so I'm pretty lonely right now taking care of our dogs. I don't have many friends here and a few of the ones i had have moved.

I felt really down last night, but I'm working on decorating the apartment which is fun.

donnab- yes! I'm right with you on that! :)

Lin-that's awesome! Enjoy your weekend! :)

I am hoping for an emaill this weekend too, been way too long since I received one.

Hope everyone hears from their Sailor this weekend. That is my prayer request for us all.

Aww that's sweet, though. :) I'm sure it'll be good for both of you then, since he'll be on shore duty and will be able to call! :) I really do miss phone calls a lot! Hoping for an email this weekend maybe!
