if you go to the Bataan's main web page at the bottom of it is a link that says something like family site or page.. click on that link and it will pull up another page that will give you the option you need

i dont know how to send a msg back to Yvette "Erich's Mom" who sent out a msg asking about pictures..so im just going to respond on this... the prof. pics were taken while they have been on deployment.. the pics were taken for the cruise book. the sailors/marines gave the pic company...info. on where to send the proofs to so that their spouse or family member could buy a copy of the picture if they wanted. i dont know that you can order if it your sailor/marine didnt send you the information.


for the new bataan family members on here... if you arent on the ombudsman and family readiness grp email trees to receive information and please pm and i will get you the addresses... you can make sure you get the info about the ship (and not hearsay) when it its released, good general information, newsletters, and fundraising merchandise.

Thanks Deb, Can anyone tell me how to get the ship address. He left and I have no info. He didn't know anything. He only had his orders. Do I have to wait to hear from him or is there just a ship address. '

hi donna!! know that you can ask us anything!! i think he will find it different living on the ship, but so far they've had some great adventures!! many wishes to him for a successful transition!!

Just put my sailor on a plne headed for the USS Bataan. He should meet up with the ship sometime tomorrow. I hope your sons and daughters greet him with the same open arms thier moms have greeted me with. I'm very nerves about this. he's only a few months out of BC and he's right in the mix of things already. Going to need a lot of TLC from my fellow Navy moms.

Joellen - my son also recieved a package in absolute RECORD time - 7 days! I was amazed - and then I was even more amazed to find that this time the USPostal Service tracking actually showed that the packaged arrived at the ship. That is an absolute FIRST! Normally tracking only shows when it gets in the hands of the "miltiary mail" service. Very encouraging.

Sorry, I told Michelle to tell all the guys to go and get their Moms something! I sent her birthday package 10 days ago and she has already received it! That has to be a record.

See thats the differents having boys and girls. I know my son will never send me a box of goodies from Greece. I will be happy if he takes pictures. When I read your comment I wish he was a girl. LOL

I just got a great package from Michelle! Olive oil, T-shirts, and various goodies from Greece! I hope she gets her birthday package soon also.
