OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Sharon, Glad you're home safe.  Quite the trip!  Your mom sounds like an amazing lady...93!

And, yes, Happy Thanksgiving to my Navy Family.  I feel such compassion and a special bond with all of you and am very grateful!

HOOOYAH to Katie, Steven, and James!  That's great!  Heard from Josh and he missed it by .39!

Lol, Kyann, me too!  I have a map of Asia saved in my favorites.  I pull it up all the time to see where they are!

so, exactly when are the december leaves?  are there 2?  is there one in november?  i'm new to this kinda stuff, so, please, fill me in.  thanks!

i, too, sent a box to hunter in the mail today.  his birthday is dec 6, hoping it makes it there for that.  we'll celebrate here, too, if he gets to come home.

Sharon, prayers and hugs for your mom and your family. Hope she is feeling better!

TrueBlue, Jesse has flights for mid-December and I talk to him every day on email and he hasn't said anything about the possibility of not making is flight. Don't worry (at least not yet).

Kyann, keep the faith! I'm hoping and praying Hunter can come home too!

Mailing a box in the morning to the ship. Hope it gets there before 1st leave, but if not, it'll keep.  Just little stockings of candy for him and his shop friends and some of his snacks. (including his hostess mini muffins. haven't had the heart yet to tell him about hostess).
