Navy For Moms

This is a project where we send birthday cards to our sailors. Send me a PM with your sailor's address on the ship and his birth date. I will keep a master list and distribute the information to all that want to participate. Our goal is to surprise our sailors with lots of cards on their special day.

Please join now and don't wait until right before your sailor's birthday. We can start this January 1st. That way it will help to bring a little cheer to the deployment. Remember, it can take up to a month to get mail, especially at the beginning. So send me names, dates and addresses now so we don't miss any early January birthdays.

I know cards can get expensive. But you don't have to spend a lot. Small generic 89 cent cards are fine. Even a homemade card or a handwritten note will be welcome.

Katherine, you're great to get the jump-started again! I believe Ryan's name is on the list, but will you check to see if his birth date is correct - it is April 3 (not April 4). Definitely send me an updated list.

I will be sending out a master list when I have some more names and addresses. Please PM me your info and e-mail addresses. I think it may be easier to pass on the list and any updates via e-mail, than trying to post it all in PMs.

Also please do me a favor and keep reminding members on the page about this project. I'm not sure everyone knows to click the view all tab or will think to keep checking it to see if any new discussions are posted.

Count me in as well! Thank you for getting this going! Sorry to be so dense, but how do I get the info to you??

No apologies necessary. Just PM me your sailor's complete name and address on the ship, along with the date of his birthday of course. You can also mention if this is a milestone birthday - like his 21st - in case someone would like to send a "specialized" card.

Hello Kathryn, thanks for doing this again, my son did say he got his birthday card last year.

Please send me an updated list! My son saved the cards from last deployment...and he is not the sentimental type but he had them together with his reenlistment certificate and photos. It is a great project! P.S. My son Alex is an ET2 now
