Robyn- Homemade chocolate chip cookies seems to be an all-time favorite. I think those are the most requested here at home. NIPS - at first I thought you were talking about cookies--boy did I feel dumb when I remembered they were a candy. Katie has even had requests for cookies from other sailors that wondered if I would send more of the same flavor- Andes mint chocolate cookies. Sometimes it makes me wonder how many don't get packages from home.

Katie once asked me to mail some worn out red flipflops-not a new pair. Funny what they miss.

I am sending Steven a care package today of REQUESTED items - homemade choc chip cookies and NIPS (p-nut butter and coffee flavor) and some of his clothes.
Kim, the banner sounds like a great idea, Han's will love it!
Steven emails alot during the week and said he promised to call this weekend. I have not seen him in two weeks, he called on Skype two weeks ago and we spoke for an hour. I will ask him how he likes the barge barracks.

Hey everyone, there is a website that is offering free banners for the military. The offer is only good through Labor Day. The website is www.buildasign/Troops We ordered one with Hans' navy photo on it and will receive it in about 12 weeks. Normally it would cost $78.93 plus shipping but we were only charged the shipping cost. The shipping charge is $12.50. We did pay a little extra to have it sewn around the banner. We will place it in front of our house when Hans comes home to visit. They have different designs and you can custom design one yourself. I found the website, we decided what we wanted it to say, and my husband figured out how to do the banner.

Rudger is in Pensacola for another week then back to Sasebo, He's glad he's done cranking...he's even talking about re-enlisting!!!

Katie was in Yokosuka for some firefighter training. She has duty while in port while they do the upgrades.

How are you sailors liking the barge barracks? What have they been up to since they've been back from Australia?

Yeah Robin! I know you are so glad to have him coming home. Enjoy all the time with him and take tons of pictures to look at when he leaves. Be sure to do something goofy so you will have a memory to laugh at!
