I always heard it was worse for a ship to be in port then out to sea during a storm. Makes me wonder where they are.

As far as box packing stuff, my son likes the Crystal Lite drink packets. He says it works well when the water is "green". Also, I have bought him some Dr. Scholls inserts for his boots.

This happened 2 years ago on the Kitty Hawk...my sailor said standing up was interesting...lots of sick sailors...some damage...

I go an email for my daughter at 10pm last night, CST and she said they were on hold due to a storm.

Good Morning All, My son called Friday night about 10:00 CA time. This is his 1st deployment, and he is so excited to finally get to do what he has been training for. I think he is going to be having some pretty long days ahead of him.
I will be praying for all the sailors aboard the GW and all military persons as well. Keep them safe and out of harms way.
Thank you also to everyone here. What a Great bunch of people.
