My son turns 21 under the sea. I have sent a box, but I would like to send an email. How can I find out the email address for the boat? I have not heard from the ombudsman so I have not gotten any contact information except from here. Can anyone help?

Thanks, since this is his first deployment, I want to be as encouraging as possible while in opposite hemispheres. I am fortunae to benefit from others missteps--no apples. Thanks again.

i would send prepackaged snacks i sent things like gum and candy and warm delights those desserts you microwave they were a huge hit!! i made a mistake by sending a caramel apple one package and it was rotten when it got there and he didnt know till after he bit into it! lol. oops. and a long month it will be i agree but your sailor came in at a better time! between the last ports we hardly heard from our sailors for two months they were so busy! this should be a easier month!!

Do you send prepackaged snacks rather than homemade (like cookies)? I have a call into the Key West ombudsman for mailing information, but personal information is very valuable. It will be a long month.

yes they do email like every two weeks. but when they go on a mission the email is shut off.at one point i didnt hear from my sailor for a little over 20 days. they only get mail at ports.i dont believe any of the sailors send out but i could be wrong its more email based i believe my sailor bought a phone card and they are leaving port tom. so you most likely wont get another phone call for a month or so but they do email not as often as i would like but often enough. you can send a care package and he will recieve it at next port i send my sailor snacks at each port because they dont have much of that on the sub.

My son, Michael, just joined the Key West in Singapore. He is a nuke EM. This is his first deployment, so there are many things I do not know. Are they ever allowed to email from the boat? Do you send them snail mail land they actually get it sometimes? Do you ever get mail from them? He has called once right after he got there, but WOW is that expensive. Any information is appreciated.
