oh this is sooo exctitng! hows ur planning sarah? ours is alll done finally the only thing were stuck on is where to get a car any ideas? a ball i never heard of it either but now i will have to find a dress :) ur going to be out there by febuary sarah? yes!! thats sooo exciting im leaving dec 21! can someone message me the date they are supposed to return home? i think i know but i wanna make sure thanks ladies!!

I haven't been to a navy ball but been to plenty Army Balls, They usually formal. I always went shopping at this site for gowns it's affordable :) enjoy and hope it helps :) www.cybergown.com

Lol...I completely know what you mean Jennifer. I will definitely be out there by April, I'm very excited now! I have never been to a Navy Ball. Have any of you other girls been to one of the balls before? Can you help us out by telling us what we should expect?

The Sub Birthday Ball is held in April, I think. I have not been before, so I am not really sure what to expect. I am hoping to somehow find some pictures from last year's ball so that I will have a better idea of what to wear, it is really hard to get an idea of how upscale it might be from a man's perspective.

I'm not sure. What and when is the Birthday Ball? I haven't heard of it before. I'm hoping to be out there by the beginning of February.

I know what you're saying, Sarah. I already had my plane ticket and all reservations for the homecoming but since they changed things, I didn't want to go out there just for 3 days ( I have to be home for Christmas with my daughter). So, I am changing my flight to go back with him from Florida to Hawaii in Jan. I figure we've waited for 6 months alreadt, what's a few more weeks? Congratulations on your upcoming wedding, I'll bet your extremely excited (and busy doing it without him). I hope to be coming out to Hawaii for the Birthday Ball, will you be living out there with him by then?

I agree Jennifer! I want to be there so badly for homecoming but since he is coming home right after Christmas for our wedding it isn't financially possible for me to fly out there for just a few days. :( But we will see them in less than a month! YAY!

Hello, thank you for welcoming me into your group. It's great to see other women who are playing the waiting game as I am. I was planning on being there when they pull back in, but since they are delayed I have to change my plans and just go back with him to Hawaii to visit in January. I am so glad he gets to come here to visit me right after Christmas, but it won't be the same as greeting him home on the pier.
