hi Moms :) Hope you are all doing good and looking forward to the holidays. Pat will be in Irvine aka OC :) for Thanksgiving and hoping his Christmas leave chit will be apprioved. We'll see. My prayer is that you get to be with your sailor soon.

back from Cali :) to a foot of snow :( ugh! get me back to North Island!
had a great time..even with the audio glitch, I thought the ceremony was great. When the ship "came alive", I lost it. seeing the crew run on and the radar turned on..the flag raised....she IS alive now.Tiger Cruise..amazing!! got to see night ops. wow. the highlight was yesterday at Muster...Pat passed his yellow shirt board! this fly 2 pic I have ..he was not officially a yellow.they gave it to him early :) anyway..he's now officially a yellow shirt LSE ( Landing Signalman Enlisted). quite a feat since he's stilll and E3 ie Airman. Ask your sailor about it :) oh and his LPO gave ME a yellow shirt..yesssss!

Donna - I am sooooo happy that you finally received the tickets. I know that is a big relief for you and your husband. I hope to see you sometime during your trip. Laurie - I will take your brother's cell number and try to get ahold of you at the hotel. We will be arriving sometime early Friday afternoon. Let me give you my cell # also: 916-214-5872. I would really like to meet you, and we, like you are staying at the Island Palms.

Chris also volunteered as a driver. He will be escorting one of the survivors from WWII who fought in the Battle of Makin Island. He is very excited to be doing so. He will be picking him up on Friday evening and then bringing him to the ship on Saturday.

got a call from Pat this AM, and said he was watching the Reagan pulling in. Dress Whites .Manning the rails...Parade rest..he sounded pretty psyched to see it.
I can't wait to get to Cali. Oh and Pat was" Voluen-told" to be a driver for a special VIP from Friday and for the Ceremony. I said. what? You are not going to be taking part of this?? He said the "first part". huh? He said there is a surprise and couldn't tell me. Well, ok then!

So...is there a time we Moms can meet? I get in Friday @ 4. Staying at the Island Palms. I don't have a cell phone. My brother Chris will be there and you can call his cell # 303-219-4356.

Thank goodness.. the tickets arrived Monday and now I'm spazing about packing!!! Can't wait to get there, we're coming in tomorrow night.

We got the first packet with the invite, then I rsvp'd, email confirmation with address, email confirmation that they were mailed Tuesday. Seriously, from MS to NC does not take this long.
