Linda - Yes, Sarah said they're handing them out to AIMD. She said that the PAO sent the ones for AIMD to Senior Estrada. She is Sarah's Senior Chief. The one that I had told you about who had agreed to distribute the treat bags for AIMD.

A lot of the packages were handed out a couple of weeks ago. Some of the dept's chose to hold onto them and pass them out closer to Christmas. Weapons & Supply received theirs yesterday.

ChariB, I'm betting most of the contents of those two boxes are gone! LOL!

My kiddo admitted he'd worked his way thru the 3 boxes I'd sent, even though 2 were marked for Christmas. That's okay, if it made him happy, that's fine.

My kiddo waited an hour and a half for the phone a week or so ago and finally gave up. He was so apologetic because he had sort of promised he would call -- and I said I didn't care what time the call came in.

But I don't want him standing in line just for a brief conversation -- and I hear they frequently get disconnected too. So we agreed he'll call from whatever port they next pull into, whenever that may be. I'm okay with emails.

I think it's so neat that we've got a group of V2ers family members here. I have no idea how many sailors are in V2 -- could be a thousand, could be 40 -- but somehow it's comforting to think that our sailors might know each other, and certainly as shipmates they are looking out for each other.

I got an email from Sarah today. She said that they've started passing out the treats bags from our project. Has anyone else heard from their Sailor on the Nimitz that their departments are also getting their treat bags?

I was wondering if anyone has the phone number to send a recorded message to our sailors email? I thought I had saved it but can't find it anywhere. Might be a busy time to send one but thought I'd try to send a Christmas message. Thanks.

Susan, I am so sorry for the loss of your father in law and what is going on
with your brother. They say God doesn't give us anymore than we can handle.
But sometimes its like God could you let me get thru showing myself with tears
before you give me something else I am drowning.
There are no easy answers or any easy ways to deal with everything you
and your family have been delt. All I can say is if you have faith pray for
strength and courage to get past and thru these very difficult times. And you
job not letting you off to deal with these tragic things in your life is just not
right. I am here and everyone else is too these ladies on this site are the
ones besides my faith that have helped me thru the last six months of my
life. Please know you are never alone and someone is always here for you.
