homecoming was an experience I will never forget, the excitement of watching my grandsons face when that boat came around the corner was priceless not to mention when he finally seen his daddy. and the pride our family has in our son. love you nick..

I am sorry to have missed my daughter's ship coming home, but I did get to watch it on online video from a local television station. There are threee video stories at the following link: http://www.wavy.com/dpp/military/Bataan-Ponce-Fort-McHenry-return-Tue

What made itgreat for me and my daughter's grandmother was seeing my daughter oin the deck of the Ponce waving at everyone on the dock.

Homecoming was awesome! It was the first for my husband and me. The family support is so great to see. Everyone was so nice and helpful. Special thanks to Theresa & Chanda. We actually went on board and found our sailor. He then took us on a tour of his ship. Never in my wildest dreams, if someone would have told me, we would be doing this 2 yrs. ago, I would have thought they were crazy. This day will live in my heart forever. God bless and sailors and their families. Thanks to everyone who made this day so special for this Tennessee mom.
