I am here at home, physically, but mentally and emotionally I'm over in Bremerton with DONNAD watching the Stennis come home. I bet Donna is just floating and I can't wait to hear her stories!!

I have a chance at becoming a Whidbey Island Mom! My son is reenlisting and the available orders came up today and he has a lot of opportunites which surprised him. He's putting in for staying where he is in CA or coming home to WA. That's almost the best news I heard in years! (Almost because I have several grandchildren and they were fantastic news too!)

Thanks everyone for the information about accommodations. It sounds like the Hampton might be the closest spot. I don't want to waste my visit just getting from one place to another. My son does have a car so transportation won't be a problem. Now, I just hope to get to make the trip. I envy those of you that get to see your sailors often. I love reading your postings on this site.
