Boot camp graduation

Hello
I am making plans to attend my son’s graduation with my family. There will be six of us traveling and 4 of us will attend the ceremony. My question is when my son is with us on Thursday and Friday should I rent a car?
Secondly I saw Sarge’s helpful advice. He holds a meet and greet I am just not sure if we should attend because my dad and my husband may want to stay back. Would you all recommend to attend? My son graduates from RTC on June 6

Hi nukenavymamabear - I'm going to recommend you go on over to the boot camp group and post your question.  More people will see it and respond there.  I left the link in the welcome message on your page.

As for Sarge's Meet N Greet - I highly recommend going if you are able.  We went back in 2012 and really had a good time.  I met a couple of moms from on here that had the same PIR and it was nice to see them in person.  We also used Sarge's taxi service to get around - we flew in from CA and did not rent a car.  Sarge picked us up from the airport - even stopped so we could get food for dinner and then we scheduled his service for PIR and for other times during the weekend, including getting us back to the airport to return home.  He definitely goes above and beyond!

Hi B’s Nuke Mom I read your post right away and took your advice
I made a reservation with Sarge’s taxi service. Getting used to this site and I appreciate the advice.
My son will be able to spend time with us on Thursday after graduation and Friday. I am not sure how tired he will be but thinking about making dinner reservations at 2pm and may bing hanging at hotel or going to see the mall. I also see there is Nunn beach close by. I’m curious what my son will want to do. I have asked but he says he will go with flow:) he is normally super active but I can imagine all the adrenaline and happy stress he will be exhausted. Friday we were thinking about taking a train to chicago and seeing the museum or hang out at the navy pier. We will have to choose but I would love to hear what you did and worked out after graduation to make the most of time.
