Hi everyone I am new here. My son is went in 3 weeks ago. He will be going to A school for this field. I am missing him terrible. Any advice would be wonderful.

Sorry I got ahead of myself. If you are talking about BC grad you should have the hold weekend with him unless he is a grad to go. Which means you will have a few hours with him on the base before he has to leave to his A school.

Sherry it depends on when he has to report to his boat. Some of the sailors have leave and some have to report right after grad. Your sailor will let you know. I'm staying at the Super 8 not far from the base. The Navy Lodge was already full by the time my son tried to get us a room there.

Welcome Sherry. My son is an ET/COM in SECF. He wiil be on the USS CHEYENNE in Pearl Harbor, Hi coming this August. He will be finishing up A school at Groton, CT. He can't wait to get to Hawaii also his submarine. You have a great day and we are here for you. Any questions just ask.

We are so glad that you are here! This is a great place to meet others that know exactly how you feel!
We have something for everyone here groups from boot camp moms to overseas moms and moms that like to scrap book. We have meet and greets to events that the moms set up to meet each other and have dinner or an outing. There are groups to help you with each and every step of this wonderful adventure that our children have chosen called the US Navy.

Please tell us about your sailor and what they have chosen to do in the navy and ohh yeah we LOVE pictures of everyone !!

Hi Sherry, welcome to Navy for Mom's:)) You will find a lot of answers, support and encouragement here. My daughter, Ashley (20), has been in the Navy for 2 years and is an IT3 & my son Tim (19) has been in since Feb 2008 stationed on the USS Nimitz.. What is your son/daughter doing with the Navy?
