Need help with Internal Affairs.
My son just got back from bootcamp for a medical discharge, but is talking about how he heard his name by someone from Internal affairs. I believe that they are public investigators for crimes that police officers do not deal with...does anyone know if someone from internal affairs can come to our home and search my son, or arrest him for any misconduct? I really don't quite understand what these men do from internal affairs.
Any help would be great.

The boy he sold it to got a phone call by the owner of the cell phone and my son had to go to the college and so did the boy he sold it to to talk to the owner and… Continue

-Medical Discharge-
Hello everyone!
My son Adam, has been discharged from basic training for having a problem with his spine and severe depression. Graduation date was supposed to be October 16th. Can anyone tell me what he will be doing at basic training for the next 10-20 days? He will not return home until then. I can no longer send him letters because he no longer belongs to a division. When will I hear from my son and why does it take this long to send him back home?

- Average is three weeks. It is longer when it is complicated, medical treatment is involved, they are fight ing to stay in and so on.

- BTW calls from ship 5 are few. Twice a week and rushed and sometimes those are withheld for problems with other recruits. Military discipline still prevails on ship 5.

- Hi Adams mom. Sorry about your son's troubles. He will not get exercise or training once in ship 5. They get bored there. If he is depressed encourage him to hangi in there till he gets home. He will get help for depression while there if he needs it. Have him talk to the chaplain who visits Ship 5 regularly. They usually regard illnesses as pre existing conditions in boot camp and do not provide coverage. He can fly home if you or he pays for it, if that is not the Navy plan. You will not know that till 2 days before he is being sent home. It takes a minimum of 2 weeks. Ship 5 address is at the top of Ship 17 Moms(now ship 5 separations)Keep writing, and call Legal, also listed at the top of the page and ask them to call him in and let him call you. Calls other than from Legal are sparse, 2x a week.
