I will cry without shedding tears Cringe without showing my fears Pray without moving my lips Dream always of incoming ships For I am the mother of a U.S. Sailor

Stage of (Sailor’s) Navy Career?
Enlisted
When I heard “Navy,” I:
Was concerned or afraid
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
She left for bootcamp a scared little girl, but came back a bright, sharp 'ready for the world' Woman.
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.

Navy Baby

My heart swells, from the tide of emotions
sweeping my soul and spirit, my child
has left the arms of those in kindred and
fell in rank, amongst the service people,
her life she offers, but sacrifices the kernel
of my existence and nucleus of me, although
my hands are not empty, they are filled with
claps of majestic admiration at your Naval graduation
and brown eyes that are forever seared in prestige,
for the scared recruit, who sailed away from me
when once my hands wrung in worry
while waiting for your coveted return
I sent notes in bottles of prayers, to God
They sent you back, if only for a leave
as a young woman, whom they titled,Seaman
full of vitality and vigor, full of humanity and hope
for her country's cause and she's 'ready for duty!'
When asked, "Mom, are you proud of me?" Yes,
I'm proud to have delivered a, "Navy Baby"
