Looking for Navy mom group in Ft. Lauderdale
I was just wondering if there is any Navy mom group in the Ft. Lauderdale area. My son James is leaving to the Great Lakes approx April 8/09. I have spent about 3 hours surfing the Navy moms website. What a great source of information for the new Navy parents. Thanks to all the parents that have contributed to it.

- Hi There! My son is home on leave. We celebrate Christmas together on Sunday and then he leaves Tues bright and early for a very long plane ride to Sicily. We will miss him but know that it's a great opportunity and can't wait to visit!

- Ana, I read your post about them cancelling leave and I know Alex is frustrated about that too because his room passes inspection every time also. I don't understand why people seem to be slacking off. He wanted to have his girlfriend come and visit but he's afraid they'll have lockdown and he won't be able to see her.

- Yes, as far as I know, Alex is leaving right after graduation. I think he said we might have an hour and a half together. Of course, I don't know if you know this, but I heard we're allowed to spend some time with them at the airport. Oh, no, here come the tears again.

- Ana, I thank you so much for your words of wisdom, your thoughts & prayers! For it's all been working! Ryan called my daughter in law this evening, he told her that he is doing really well. he's up to walking the track nowan will see the dotor in a couple of weeks. He's hoping & very optimistic that he will then begin the final phase of his physical therapy. When that is completed he may fina get back to finish his basic training. So he is trying to be very positive & strong. His fractured leg is healing, so all our thoughts & prayers & all his hard work is paying off so far, so again I thank you. As always you & yours are in my thoughts & prayers. Hope all is well with you, take care.
