My name is Andria and I am from Goldsboro NC. I have two sons and two daughters ranging in ages 13-21. I am a registered nurse. My oldest son, Stephen enlisted in the navy September 2008. He is a hospital corpsman.

Hi Andria,

My daughter was in the DEP program for a year while she finished her senior year in high school. They did try and push her date back even further to April 2010 because she was a female HM, but with persistence and daily calls to her recruiter (ha-ha) she was able to go in about two weeks after her graduation. I have heard that it is harder for female HM's going in now more than when she went into DEP. I'm just happy she's finally done with basic and in her Corps school.

I would love a N4M group here in town! Josh is going in to train to be a SEAL -he is very excited. I am sure I wouldn't be half as worried if he was doing something else. Yeah my hubby doesn't seem to be at all upset by it, I am the one that is a wreck!! I am so glad this site is here. I am sure come next month I will be needing it badly LOL

Great Andria we should keep in touch, we'll be in Va Beach for three years. I think it's wonderful that you have your son near you. I wish I had Jonathan closer to me, but he's olways wanted to go to the west coast and he has his wish. I think it's close to Santa Barbara in LA Point Magu. God Bless you

Andria,how r u. Jonathan got order for nas Magu in Santa Barbara, do you know anything about this place. I looked it up and seems to be very close to Santa Barbara and it sounds like a communication center of some kind. I have to read some more................ He doesn't have official order yet so it could change. About you? How is everything? We're moving this month and are getting ready to pcs in a couple of weeks to VA Beach. Andria,
How sweet of you to think of me. I really appreciate all of your comments and prayers. I know God had a hand on Jonathan and that kept him afloot and going forward. Pir was wonderful, I couldn't wait until Liberty was called, it seemed for ever lol, and when he did I run through the croud to find him. My mom was here from Sicily (Jonathan's Grand-mom) to attend the PIR. He was so hapy to see her. I got a call from Jonathan today around 3:30pm fron Mississippy to let us know he made it to A School. He's ajusting lol and likes his room mate. Waooo it's over, bc is over !!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't believe it. My boy is a Sailer. I put his picture next to his dad's.,both out of bc.
I hope Stephen's is doing well. He's still in school or he's assigned to a station already? Take care Andria and God Bless Grazi

oh no Andria I will be on the road to Great lakes for his PIR. I have to leave on the 6th so I can make it there in time for grad. on the 8th. I need to tell him to call me on my cell. I don't want to miss his call. Thanks so much
