Navy seeks new recruits via Moms
Arizona Daily Star
Tucson, Arizona | Published: 10.11.2008
In an effort to attract new recruits, the U.S. Navy has launched a Web-based campaign aimed specifically at mothers — an idea so innovative experts predict it will one day be copied by other branches of the military.
About a dozen Tucson moms are in on the ground floor of the new Navy effort, NavyforMoms.com — a sort of Myspace for military matriarchs.
The site was launched in response to research that showed mothers were more likely to believe other mothers than recruiters, a Navy official said.
Read about the new recruiting campaign in Sunday's Arizona Daily Star.

Dear Angie,
You're so sweet thank you. You had to hear me a couple of weeks ago, only moms that I've been writting too all these months, I wrote to, about this.
My beloved Sailor, Kim wanted to elope with this Bozo she just met. She's still with him, but thank God single!! Oh that was a fun adventure!!! Long story that goes with that!! You know every parent's nightmare, well Bozo it it!!! HAHA!! If she knew I call him that!!! HAHAH!!
Anyway, Kim's almost finished with A School, and was told she'll be put on hold. I just pray she doesn't forget what she learned!!!UGH!!
I love that picture you have of Levi and the Blues Brothers, that is cute!! HAHA!!
Where is Levi now?
Kim was held captive in Chicago!! HAHA!!
I'll let you get going. I hope to hear from you again.
Take care and God bless.

Once Matt settled in for "A" school, he was very happy with himself and San Diego. Everything he needed was within walking distance! But when he first got there I could tell he was homesick. He didn't like any of it and he let me know! Visiting him helped a lot. We'd go over on Friday and stay at the Half Moon on Shelter Island until 9pm Sunday night! Now there's no stopping him! (But I still miss him) :)

Hi Angie, welcome to N4M's, I am so glad you joined, I am from Yuma Arizonza. May be one of the few Native Arizonans. Your pictures of your sailor and trip are wonderful. You know, I have a tall, blue-grey eyed, dark blonde son myself named Levi also. Levi is an awesome name! I hope that you can join us for the gathering in Tucson and like Joyce said, even for part of it, would be great to meet you. Take care and I hope to learn more about you and your sailor.
