Happy

I am so happy, i got to hear from my son today. I know it was just the form letter but to have the dear mom on it and then at the end he wrote that he loves me and he will call as soon as he can. It was just enough to lift my spirits. And to see his hand writing on the envelope helped. I was so happy. I know it is silly to be this happy over one silly line, but i cant help it.

I miss him

I am having a hard time not being able to talk to my son, i don't know how things are going for him at bootcamp. It was hard to send him to bootcamp, i am proud of him for wanting to defend our country but it is hard as a mom to have him away. i just can't get over the fact that i cant talk to him. And to write him lettters and not tell him how much miss him. Does it get better?

Hi Anissa, I'm so glad that David is doing better now. We'll keep praying for all of you through this, but I'm glad he has been working some keeping busy. Try to keep focusing ahead and don't worry about the past except to help him through it (if he shares any with you). I also glad he's decided to go back to school and continue with his career pursuits. At least he's chosen a profession where he can make a good living doing welding in the private sector. Shoot, he could still end up working on building ships one day if he wants to. Wouldn't that be ironic..... I'm so glad that he has found the door God has opened for him and I'll continue prayers for everyones strength in body, mind & spirit. (If you put your right hand on your left shoulder and you left hand on your right shoulder - I'm sending you a hug)....Hang in There & God Bless, CJ

Hi Anissa. So glad your son is home now. It is a transition coming home, but with support and a new plan he should do fine.

I saw a neurologist and was referred to a neurosurgeon who did surgery on my grandson who has spina bifida and he refferred me to a top neurosurgeon in the same hospital whose specialty was in the field in which I needed. My surgery was in my neck. I came home the same day ! had surgery early in the morning and was home by dinner and had to stay off my feet and no driving, no housework, no nothing but taking it easy for two- three months and i did exactly what i was told. I could not ride in a car for a month. And believe me when I finally got to ride I felt every little movement and it hurt. I could not turn my head in a quick movement. It took me 10-12 months to really be able to get around okay. After 5 months the neurosurgeon let me start physical therapy and then let me just join a gym so I joined the YMCA and he told me what I could and could not do and I just went at a slow pace and did not push myself and followed his directions. Then by Feb 2006 I was introduced to MONAVIE by Race Driver Ron Hornaday and His Wife Lindy and it made a huge impact on my recovery and I have not had to take pain medication again for my neck. You can not purchase it in the stores. However you can get it through me as I became a distributer because of what it has done for me. My email is frazierhouse@yahoo.com . E-mail me your phone number and address and I will get back to you personally so i can answer all your questions on it. Take Care.

I read about your degenerative disc disease and wanted to share with you that i have it also. It was found in my neck two years ago when I started losing feeling in my legs and had low back pain. I had a spinal chord compression caused by degenerative disc disease. I had to have major neck surgery. three discs were removed and replaced, along with two screws and a metal plate put into my neck. I really do not notice it. i have neck pain at times but i drink MONAVIE which is a natural drink of 19 fruits which includes the Acai berry from the Rainforest of the Amazon and I swear by it! I ran out two different times and by the third day was in tremendous pain! I dont like to take pain medication. Not good for you. I also read here about your Son. I am so so sorry to hear he is being released on medical. I know he feels lost, crushed, and probably worthless. I would to. Us Moms have to be so strong for our children. This is going to be a Challenge for you. Please do not feel you can not come here and talk to us Moms here. You are welcome anytime!!! Godspeed
