Hi, Ann -
We are having a "Navy for Moms" dinner on June 11th in Chattanooga. That week is the Riverbend festival, and the Navy is having a Navy Week event with the MCPON (Master Chief Petty Officer of the Navy) Rick West. He is the most senior enlisted man in the Navy. He wants to have dinner with some Navy families. All of the information is in the Tennessee Navy Moms group. I hope you can come! Ellen

Ann - you have a nice looking family - what fun to have a wee one again too!! I love all your children's names. You do need to get more photos of those cute kids!!!
Oh - you didn't say what C school Jessie is in. Has he been able to fill out his dream sheet yet?
I did not make it to the C school grad either, but his Dad did because he flew out to drive home with Tim - we are in Colorado. He said it was cool. Short and sweet, but he was glad to be there and said they made it nice for all the sailors so that is good.
And they usually get to come home after C school - so that is better!!!!
Talk to you Soon! Isn't this a fun site! ~ Vikki

My son Justin just started A School in Goose Creek, and I believe he is enjoying it and doing well. He seems to be staying very busy, as communication from him has slowed down in the last couple of weeks. This site is a truly helpful place!

Hi Ann! Vikki here from IS Mom's. Was reading your stuff above from our IS site. Yes - they do change don't they! I am amazed at how grown up my son was after C school and when he came home on leave he sure noticed how much more grown up he was than his friends. He still had fun, but took a while. He just signed a lease on a home - LOL - he is 19 ! He is stationed in England where Ellen's son is - but they have yet to meet and both are tired of us Mom's asking "Have you found who Jim/Tim is yet?" This has all been a wonderful experience both for our son and for our family. Do you have other children? I read your son Jessie graduates C school on May 1st? Will you be going? What is his specialty?? ~ Vikki

Hi, Ann!
Welcome to our IS Sailors group! We have kids at all stages of their Navy service (boot camp to the fleet) so we put our heads together and try to help each other through! I see you're from Ringgold, I'm in Chattanooga!
My son, Jim, is 19 and is stationed in England, working as a Maritime Intelligence Analyst at a NATO Intelligence Fusion Center there. He's been gone since November. We'd all love to hear about you and your sailor, so jump in on our group whenever you want. We are having lots of fun getting to know each other! Ellen

It's so wounderful to know there are other mom's out there who know how it is having there children in the service. My son is in the Intelligent Specialist field so he doesn't get to tell me anything. All I ever ask is that he lets me know he's ok but I dread the day he will not be able to contact me for a long time. Thankyou so much for your support. I look forward to lighting the blue candle for those who serve us. My son will be home shortly after Christmas for 10 days. Looking forward to seeing him! MERRY CHRISTMAS MOM'S!
