My daughter finally recieved ONE of the few packages that were missing....There were mailed in Sept and Oct...oh well she was still excited! Hopefully the others will show up soon

- About me:
- I'm a proud mom of 4 wonderful kids. I have lived in Florida for most of my life. As a single mom its hard to see the kids leave the nest but so far I have two that have left and I am very proud of both of them. My oldest daughter is a Senior at USF in Tampa, Florida majoring in Mass Communications. And My 19 yr old daughter Ashley has just arrived in Norfolk, VA USS Bataan. . I'm very proud of her. She will develop into a nice young adult and I look forward to many letters from her..

My name is Kara, and plez pardon me, I am new to this site and have not figured it out yet. I read your comments about your daughter just getting to Norfolk & the USS Bataan, We are from Florida also, & my daughter went to Norfolk from Charleston SC (base) in August. She finishes classes next week & is assigned to the USS Bataan. My daughter is 20 & I am very proud of her but also worried. My daughter has made some friends & has a car here also. She does venture out off base to visit friends, go shopping & find sushi ! She's very independent. She is in class with all guys & isn't worried or intimidated, I love that about her. - Thanks again Alice I have passed this onto Ashley. Ashley is on USS Bataan she is from Florida and is 19. I appreciate this so much you have no idea. I just spoke to her and she will be calling him as soon as she gets back from her trip which is only a week long and leaves next monday. THANK YOU

- My Son is James Wickham,20yrs old,Quarter Master on the nassau,he is from Texas,Just a little info for Ashley.James ph.# 210-313-6547.Its hard to get cell phone calls from the ship so if they miss one another keep trying.James ship will be in dry dock for a while after this trip,so he will be in port for awhile.
