I've been dieting/training. I decided to run a half marathon in March. So I walk/run 3 miles every day, do some arms exercises and stretching! I find out today how much I have lost in the 2 weeks I have been doing it!

I'm about176- which before I was 180, so its better than nothing, but I'm wondering what if there is more I can do to lose weight faster? I told my man before he left for boot camp that I would lose some weight while he was in BC, but I procrastin...

Hi Anne! I am not sure if u remember me or not, it has been awhile. I talked to shortly before your hubby left for BC. I just wanted to touch base with you and see how you are doing. I see he is FC?! Thats awsome. My husband is schooling right now for FC too. Anyway I started a group to get all my friends together and to keep in touch with everyone on here. We would love for you to join us! It is a relaxed enviroment, we just like to meet new ppl and be there to talk to. Hope to hear from you soon!! The web addresss is http://www.navyformoms.com/group/goodol32009

Yes, he wants to be a SEAL. He's testing next week for it and hoping that he passes. I'm secretly hoping he doesn't! I'm excited to start our Navy life but not excited enough for him to pass the test and get a contract already! They might move up his ship date and I'm definately not ready for that. I don't know, I suppose we'll see.

As I went to your page - I thought I might have it wrong. One of the FC wives sent me an email and said they had gotten Aegis orders and she would be moving to Dahlgren with hubby but I'm not sure if he had the actual orders or not. There is a good chance Steve will get VA orders, FCs only go to DamnNeck, Dahlgren or SanDiego!

Hey Anne - hope you and the kids are doing well. I may have my FC wives confused, did your hubby get orders to Dahlgren? Are you still going to be able to move with him. Things are so weird with orders right now...our son was supposed to graduate at end of July now it's mid August and he will probably be sitting there until October but he said he may know more in June. I'm not complaining - he is either sitting in VA or ...he will be out to a ship. At least sitting in VA I know how to reach him.

I'm assuming that when you ask what rate he's going in at you mean like E or O or whatnot right? I hope so! lol Right now he's an E3 but he's working on getting into the Officer program. He wants to be a SEAL.
Please don't sugarcoat anything for me! lol, I'm here to learn everything that I can about being a Navy family. The good, the bad and the ugly!! How long has your hubby been in?

Thanks for the support! I really appreciate it! My hubby's recruiter told me about this site and boy am I glad he did!! I am pretty positive I suppose. I know it might sound funny but I actually enjoy moving...not the packing and actually moving part. But the new surroundings and meeting new people and seeing new things ya know?

Has it been hard for you since your hubby joined? I know you have kids. How old are they? How many do you have? We have 3 right now. We're adopting 2 little boys and fostering a 1 year old girl. The boys are 3 and 5. I'm scared about what it'll be like when my hubby's gone. Just me and the boys. How did you deal with it? Hope to hear from you soon! Lindsay
