Rhoda, you will have an excellent excuse to come back when your son graduates from BC. The weather will be much better too. I know you do not miss the snow. I wouldn't if I lived out there. Glad you found the site and the group. Welcome aboard. Anne

Hi Anne, I read your "goodbye" on the Reagan group. Where is your son headed next? (My son is with a squadron on the Reagan so he's not actually with the Reagan!)

Hmm... let's see. Vincent has a skateboard here at home and he probably will soon be asking for it. Note to self: do not send skateboard to SD!! Just the thought of him skateboarding on that street terrifies me!! HA!

Hi Anne, Glad you responded to my comment. I have been feeling so alone, and sad. I am way out here in Texas with nothing but Army moms and it is similar but not the same. We (my husband and I) we stationed at GL for 11 years and loved the entire chicago and suburb area and miss it. Moved here to Texas after my daughter graduated boot camp almost 2 years ago from Kenosha WI. Texas is cheaper to live but only 2 seasons, hot and hotter. People not warm though. No midwestern warmth. Am currently in escrow buying a home in Alabama hope to get moved before Christmas. VA moves as slow as information coming from Navy, always hurry up and wait. Again thank you for saying hello to me, I really needed a friend who understands Navy life, and Navy mindset. God bless you and your wonderful son.
