About me:
I work with the youth at my church, I have 3 sons and 2 daughters. The 3 boys are my step-sons, but I feel like they are mine. I have been in Rusty's life since he was 7 years old. I love spending time with my husband and kids. I enjoy working with the youth and entertaining. My husband and I have always had a open door policy with the kids and their friends. We usually have a house full of kids, but I would not have it any other way.
I am here to support or represent my:

Stage of (Sailor’s) Navy Career?

When I heard “Navy,” I:
Encouraged him/her
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
To be supportive of my son. To let him know how much I love him and how proud of him I am. I have a very clear understanding of the sacrifices that the military and there families make. I'm so excited about the places he will go and the experiences he will have. The oppurtunities for him are endless. I will miss our late night talks and the house full of teenage boys raiding our kitchen.
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
This was a maturing experience

New Navy Mom

Hello everyone, I am a new Navy Mom. I had someone tell me about this site this weekend. My son, Rusty just graduated from Boot Camp in Great Lakes last Friday. We got home yesterday. I have been so emotional, but a good emotional. I was so proud of my sailor. It is weird I am so happy because I am so proud, but I am so sad because I miss him so much.Well I was so amazed at how he had matured. He has always been an amazing kid, but the kind you may have to tell more than once to take out the tras… Continue

Hi Ashley, Hope you'll be able to attend the Tenn. Meet & Greet on the 25th in Murfreesboro. The exact place will be posted soon on the "event" - when there's enough response to determine what size meeting room we'll need. Hope to see you!!!!!! Cathy

I have been pretty busy myself, I have only got online a few times. Ashley is doing great, we had a good time. She still has a good year or more of training to do, so I am not sure when she will grad. She did get her flight uniform and flight jacket and moved to the other side of the base to start her classroom training, How is Rusty doing? Has he grad from A school yet? I can not believe how fast time passes, seems like they just left for basic. Well you have a great day.

Thanks! We had a great time with him during the holiday. That week flew by too fast. He's getting ready to go to Pensacola, FL, he said he can't wait to get out of the cold.
Hope all is well for you.
Talk soon!

The week with our sailor will just fly, but it'll be wonderful having him home even if for just a short time.
Happy Holidays to you and your family!!!

That was sweet of him. I don't blame him, I would be sick of the snow too. I am getting so excited to see Ashley, it will be so nice having her home. But boy it is going to be hard taking her back to the airport. I am sure you understand. Who knows when we will be able to see her after that. Thank goodness for phones and webcams. lol. Well have a great day.

We have planned a few family and friends get together during the holidays. No telling when we'll be able to have our sailor home again. It's just a week, but I'm just so happy to have him at all.

I am excited also. Ashley is counting down the days. She cant wait, as I am sure Rusty also cannot wait. We got a little rain yesterday, all the surrounding hills and mountains got the snow. Whew..I do not want snow. We have to drive to Denver to pick Ashley up from the airport. I hope the weather is nice to us. Well I have a few things to do, so I will talk at ya later. Have a great one. Brandi
