Profile Information

About me:

I work with the youth at my church, I have 3 sons and 2 daughters. The 3 boys are my step-sons, but I feel like they are mine. I have been in Rusty's life since he was 7 years old. I love spending time with my husband and kids. I enjoy working with the youth and entertaining. My husband and I have always had a open door policy with the kids and their friends. We usually have a house full of kids, but I would not have it any other way.

From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:

To be supportive of my son. To let him know how much I love him and how proud of him I am. I have a very clear understanding of the sacrifices that the military and there families make. I'm so excited about the places he will go and the experiences he will have. The oppurtunities for him are endless. I will miss our late night talks and the house full of teenage boys raiding our kitchen.

Through this Navy experience, I now believe:

New Navy Mom

Hello everyone, I am a new Navy Mom. I had someone tell me about this site this weekend. My son, Rusty just graduated from Boot Camp in Great Lakes last Friday. We got home yesterday. I have been so emotional, but a good emotional. I was so proud of my sailor.It is weird I am so happy because I am so proud, but I am so sad because I miss him so much.Well I was so amazed at how he had matured. She still has a good year or more of training to do, so I am not sure when she will grad. She did get her flight uniform and flight jacket and moved to the other side of the base to start her classroom training, How is Rusty doing? Has he grad from A school yet? I can not believe how fast time passes, seems like they just left for basic. Well you have a great day.
