Shelia.. The festival of trees is a display of decorated trees, wreaths and other holiday decorations. It is beautiful! Local organizations decorate the trees and then they are auctioned off. It is a fundraiser for the Atheneum. There are hundred's…
Marlene what a nice picture of your handsome son...
Shelia you mentioned Dec 5,6,12, 13.. How about meeting at the Wadsworth Festival of Trees and then lunch downtown. Open those days 10 to 5 and $13.00 to get in. I'm available all those days.. the nights are questionable...

Looks as though if I want to hear from you, I'll have to move to Connecticut...what the heck, I'll just stay in the Southland. How's your sailor? Mine has determined that he is happy enough where he is for now and is staying another year. He should find out within the next few weeks if he made E5. He and a couple of others went to the DMZ for a day trip a couple of weeks ago and then they rode back down to Seoul in a Blackhawk. He was excited about that. Otherwise, I'm going to school and waiting for him to come home late winter or early spring for a few weeks.
How's school for you now? The rest of the family? Maybe you are still coming down South in a few months? Vikki sent out a PM, Ellen responded and said that they have had another death in the family and that Jim had hernia surgery recently. Been missing you but I know how hectic it gets, and it sounds as though you've been knee deep in the Conn. group. Keep it up, Lady! and keep me posted on how B. is doing.

Blondie said… - yeh, i have blue candles everywhere, even bought one for my other daughter, she put a mirror under it, looks really good at night. i even have a flameless. not had to light it much since she's been home, but where having a BBQ today for the surrounding towns, will have to do a ceramony for all our service men. have a nice week end, oh my sailor says she works at NASA, do you know where on base B works? i just thought they all worked together, i'm bad.

I was thinking of Rock Hill when I replied at the main page but if I'm not mistaken Fort Mills is even closer to me than Rock Hill. I know I've seen commercials for Fort Mills Ford on TV so I know it's not too far. I believe just over an hour away. I'm in Hickory, which if I take 321South to Gastonia, NC (25 mins), I'm almost right on the state line. There are several places in SC I can get to in just about 45 mins to an hour.
We took I-81 all the way from Wytheville, VA to Alex Bay, NY then NY 12 and 37 over to Massena. I love looking out over the 1000 Islands and dreaming about having a house out on one of the islands. lol...Oh well, maybe when I get out of school I'll have the money to play the lottery again and win the jackpot. Then....It's only four hours from Massena to Albany, so it would not have been that far to CT. That's a beautiful drive as well, along the Hudson and Lake Champlain. We did take a side trip Friday down to Lake Placid for the day. It rained the whole time we were there but it was away from school, home, groceries, etc. All total it's about a 14 hour drive but that's stopping for one meal and either one or two gas stops, along with a few pee stops. Just a frog's hair under 900 miles.
I'm going to get on to bed. I do hope you can come south soon though. It would be so awesome to get to meet you. Maybe by then Anna would be settled in enough to come for the day and we could all meet up together! Either way, I look forward to it!
