Hi Barbara sorry i havent gotten back to you sooner. My son is doing better, I should hear from him once a week on sundays from now on. The Army wants them to call home once a week unless they mess up during that week. Cate leaves Oct. 6th, and is ready. Cate asked me to ask you what did Augie not like about BC does he have any advice for her haha.

Hi Barbara!
I'm back unfortunately. I was actually upstate New York, my cousin owns a house and it sits right on top to the Delaware river. We can literally walk across the river into PA. It was so relaxing I always hate coming back home, I mean who wouldn't when you can sit on the front porch and watch the river.

I am staying at the Courtyard by the Marriott in Waukegan they actually give discounted rates for the graduation, also if you need to rent a car they use Hertz. Then I am spending a few days at the Fairmont in Downtown Chicago with some friends, it will be my first time to Chicago so I am making it a vacation as well

We heard from my son tonight and he sounds a bit home sick, I'm sure that will pass. Wow thats great that Augie is so close and able to come home. Cate's recruiter told me Cate will have the weekend with us after graduation and then shes off to A school (Texas)

Sorry it's taken awhile to get back to you.. I actually have 6 children and only 2 of them as of right now are enlisted in the military. My son is going to be sworn in tomorrow at MEPS . It's bitter sweet. I have never seen him as happy as he has been in the last few days get ready to leave, that is where I find my comfort with him leaving. The Army handles things alot different than the Navy. Did Augie come home after BC ?? or did he go right to his school ???
