hi everyone...my brother just called and told me to turn on the military channel and they had an hour special called Anatomy of a super carrier...it was on 9-10 EST ....only saw a half hour but it was amazing seeing the George Washington so close up

I live in new York City and work as a social worker lcsw/psychotherapist in mental health at Hip Health Plan. My son Chris is my only child and joined the navy in December, 2006. He is currently on the USS George Washington and I am very proud of him and missing him SO MUCH!!

Anyone have a son or daughter who is an ET3 on the USS George Washington

Hi everyone,

I am really getting crazy because my son hasn't been in touch for three months and I don't know what happened. My niece said he was in Norfolk, Va in February taking some courses. I am puzzled as to why they would send him there. He is back in Japan now but still haven't heard from him. Please anyone have news I would really appreciate it. I am worried

barbara i have been receiving ur emails and at first i cudnt belive ur son cudnt or wudnt contact u for so long. that upsets me. i also noticed this december is ur sons 3 rd year in the navy!! do u know how long is his contract fro? do u know when he comes back to japan? once he is done is he going to re enlist?

I so hope Timothy's email helps Chris to communicate with you. I still have not heard from my son. I had so hoped to go to Yokosuka for a family cruise. I had sent you an email but I am not sure if I did it correctly. Karla was a sweetheart to try and help. If you have any ideas for me, please let me know. I miss my son.

My son has read some of your posts here on Navy For Moms, he is sorry for what you are going thru with your son. Timothy as sent Chris the following e-mail hoping to help get the communications between the two of you started. I apologize if you or Chris feels he as crossed the line, Timothy only had good intentions.
