Enlisted
When I heard “Navy,” I:
Needed to learn more about it, Was proud, Encouraged him/her
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
to learn all I could about what to expect from the day I sent her off to boot camp right through everything she will be doing during her enlistment.
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
This was a maturing experience, This was the best decision he/she could have made

Hi Becky!
Haven't seen anything posted from you lately, Hope all is well. How's Kas?
Hope you are surviving this deep freeze. Bet you get a lot of ice cream jokes. One of my cousins had a dairy farm in Pa. (near Elmira, NY) and he said every time it would get really cold people would tease him about getting ice cream from the cows. Guess us people from the 'burbs have a weird sense of humor.

Nothing stops our schools around here and seriously this road stays BAD lots and I am like WHY aren't they delaying schools?? I don't think they hear me out here..ha ha ha
The kids always say that the Amish way of life wouldn't cut it for them, well..I also tell them that if they only knew that from birth and on, they wouldn't compare it to this world! Techology is way too far advanced and I wish it was back to simple things and simply ways of doing things. GRRR on that!
Stay warm and dry there and chat soon.

Hugs,
Rhonda

Good TGIF!!!

I am in the middle of nowwhere too but do have neighbors (which we would rather have a house in the woods w/o neighbors ha ha ha) we live in Amish County and see those darn buggies day in and day out!! GOTTA LOVE their simple life though:)
We didn't get much from that latest system, it seems to have missed us!!
Grandbaby is due to arrive on Monday the 15th, via c-section! Thank you tons, it will be a joy to welcome this little gift into our family:) I am going to VA in Jan to spend a week with my DIL and Connor while Ben is U/W again getting ready for deployment.
You take care and HUG each other for me since I am only there in spirit.
Have a great day and thank you, can't wait to meet you down the road!

Hugs,
Rhonda

haha yeah im definently going to be bringing my TONS of sweatshirts lol, Wow i didnt know that some cooked that way and the others didnt?! I could only imagine lol, kyle was a lil' flustered the other day cooking the chicken b/c they needed more out to be served and it was still in the oven, so it wasnt his fault he couldnt just pull him out, it was funny lol :)
kyle wants me to wake up really early so we can leave and do stuff, but since we'll have to take a taxi everywhere it'll be expensive, and im def. thinking im not gonna want to be walking around alot, so im just gonna stick w/ hot cocoa and maybe some chili lol :)

Hi Becky
Haven't talked to you in a while. Hope all is well and you had a nice Thanksgiving. How is Kas? Has she heard about her re-enlistment approval yet? I swear that the military motto is hurry up and wait!
Not much new here. Rob was supposed to come home on the Friday after Thanksgiving with his girlfriend but she couldn't get off and he didn't want to make the drive by himself this time. We were bummed but at least he will be here for Christmas. At least that's the plan. lol
