About me:
I am 46 and just "let my baby go", my baby is 24 years old and left Columbia, SC on November 17th, 2008 for Navy bootcamp in great lakes, ILL. We have only heard from him one time. His graduation is suppose to be jan. 9th, 2009. I plan on making the 940 mile drive up to attend the ceremony, but am concerned that if he does not qualify to graduate I won't know it and will have made the trip for nothing. AWE Motherhood.....does the worrying ever end?
I am here to support or represent my:
Cory
Stage of (Sailor’s) Navy Career?
Enlisted
When I heard “Navy,” I:
Was concerned or afraid, Was confused
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
That I have to let go sometime
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
Our relationship has grown stronger, This was a maturing experience
Cory Luvs to play cards and Tinker the kitten we found in June on a sidewalk loved to coach cory....this was taken just a month before he left for the RTC

1% of the sailors fail BS, there is a good chance your son will graduate. That is about all I can say, I hear they also get a phone call after thay pass, will that be enough time to make your plans, you can always make reservations at the NAVY Lodge and cancel them before 6pm the day you are suppose to check in with no fee. I hope this helps

hi i read that you are worried about what if your sailor doesnt make it through battlestations and you already have made reservations for your hotel. I am staying at the navy lodge and we can cancel our reservations all the way up until noon the day of check in without getting a penalty. I think most hotels around the great lakes area are used to the battlestation schedule. i hope this helps.

Hi and Welcome to N4M. We are proud to have you aboard. Please look on the Events For Blue Candle Lighting. We are lighting blue candles on Christmas day to remember our sons, daughters and spouses who will not be home for the holidays. Some of our children will be home but we wanted to make sure we remember the ones on duty and their families. Please RSVP as if your are attending because it counts. All you have to do is light a blue candle in your home on Christmas day and you will have participated. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
