About me:
I'm a 52 year old mom with a 24 year old son who has just completed his ET training and has received his orders to the USS Truman in Norfolk. I also have a 25 year old daughter who is married to a GM2 stationed in Norfolk, VA and is in his 5th year serving in the Navy.
My husband and I live in Placerville, CA. We both work full time and are now empty-nesters, but are excited to be grandparents to our first granddaughter, Brooke.

Was proud and encouraged it
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
Its hard to initially let him go, but knowing its a great opportunity for his future makes it somewhat easier.
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
This was the best decision he/she could have made

wow i can't believe eric already finished school! wow! when did he start a- school? i know sierra was on hold for what seemed like forever.
i guess he came up to her and said "hey we were at meps together do you remember me? i saw your picture on navy for moms". which totally made sierra laugh, but she did remember him!
sierra hasn't really started married life yet i guess! :) the new hubby had to be moved to a different ship than hers and they are lucky to see eachother once a day- which was pretty much how it was before too. it looks like mike (the husband) will be going to A school in virginia and then he is putting in a request for san diego as his duty station- we'll see how that works out. sierra doesn't know what she's going to do. she is trying to finish A school before she gets to pregnant to get orders but she's not sure it will happen. she's set to finish about 2-3 weeks past her cut off date of when they'll let her continue. so she's trying hard. if she can't get transferred to C school she may try and get discharged. otherwise she will be stuck in great lakes for a year after the baby is born doing admin work. and she hates it there!
finially the weather has cooled down! enjoy it while it lasts!!!! :)

As for Special, I can share her if you're willing to share your "baby." The weekend was amazing, and very relaxing. We watched movies and hung out. Thanks for sharing him. : )

Psst, did you hear that 313 and 312 moms were sicking the dogs on me? Well girlfriend they are going for you now. What is going on, having you fallin down and cant get up or what?

Did you get the book that I sent? I hope that all is well with you, Dana, Whitney and Eric. Please give me some idea on dates for getting together. We can always come your way, either works well for us. Kenny leaves for San Diego on 28 Dec and I leave for Chicago. Take care but let us all know you are doing good. xoxox
