Hi Lady! I am so sorry this has taken so long. How is Charlie doing? Where is he now? Things sure are different after Boot, aren't they? I am also very sorry we didn't meet in GL. Would loved to meet that son of yours and talk with you for awhile. We so enjoyed graduation and having Josh for three days! He has really grown into a young man, though we still saw the wonderful child moments also.We had so much fun! Leaving was the difficult part. My oldest son, Jim, timed his vacation so that he was here the day after we got home, Bless his heart! (We took our time getting back, did some side trips.) Jim, wife and grandson were with us two weeks. Grandson is entering college the end of this month to become a vet. The VA was here the day after we got home also to install a new ramp for my husband...and now they are in the process of installing safety devices all over the house for him...looks and feels like Grand Central around here! LOL
Joshua is in San Antonio holding for MA school. Yes, we rushed the cell and civvies...it is soooo good to talk to him so often. He gets bored waiting but he has off base liberty so that helps. Aren't we grateful but proud of these guys? Not to mention lucky?
Didn't want you to feel I was ignoring you...things have just piled up here if you know what I mean. Take care.

He called yesterday and says he'll should be home in a couple of weeks. Got to ship 17 and lost his desire to stay. Hates it. How ever he doesn't plan on being home long. Ego. Like I told my husband things happen for a reason and if it had been him up there the turn out may of been the same. Needless to say I am disappointed but what meant to be is meant to be. Hows Charlie doing?

missed his call on sunday. Haven't talked to him in over a week. Did get 2 letters this week. I think he's going to break it with the gf.He's still not positive on what he's going to do. I called ship 17 this morning and they were suppose to have him call me and I haven't gotten a call. I am going to email the outbudsman and call legal tomorrow.

We drove from the airport we needed a rental car for the time we were there. But traffic is terrible around Chicago. I would take your own vehicle to the base the hotel had a shuttle but Stephen had watch right after graduation so if we would have taken the shuttle to PIR we would not have had a way back to the hotel. We stayed at the comfort inn in waukegen (spelling ?) we did not have a pool. A lot of the people I knew stayed at the Navy Lodge they said it was ok the Ramada may be nicer but it is further away I believe. And yes Stephen calls or texts me every day it is great!! He is in Va for A school he has to wait til Aug 4th for classes thats when they have the next opening. But he gets to go to the beach a lot. Right when he got to VA he called and said send my phone I know some moms overnighted it but I made him wait 4days I was sending his computer also and it was to much money to mail it sooner, I figured he did without it that long whats a couple more days :) If you have any other questions please let me know.

PIR was great they do have t-shirts for sale when you walk in they are the division flags from each division, each division makes there own flag and they also put them on the shirts and sell them. We stayed at the Comfort Inn at Waukegan it was pretty nice. And it was pretty close to the base. We did not do much when we were there except go to the big mall in Gurnee, Stephen wanted to stay in the hotel room and put on his civilian clothes, he also had to be back early each night. If you do go to Navy Pier and drive down there make sure you give your self plenty of time traffic is terrible, we did not go there till Monday when we flew out cause again Stephen did not want to go do all those things. He was diffrent as in more grown up and resposible but his personality was still the same. They look so good in there uniforms. Will post pictures one of these days when I have time.

Hows Charlie doing? You will really enjoy PIR. Stephen is in VA now at A school but that does not start til the 14th. Where is Charlie going to A school at and what is he going to be doing?
