When I heard “Navy,” I:
Was concerned or afraid, Needed to learn more about it, Was proud, Said “No way!”
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
Ask questions!!! If your child doesn't know, somebody out there does. Everything is hurry up and wait with the Navy!! So be patient and ask , ask , ask! There are lots of people out there who are happy to help you. They are super nice and helpful.
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
Our relationship has grown stronger, This was a maturing experience, The Navy has a lot to offer, This was the best decision he/she could have made

Lori, Hi just read that your sailor was graduating A school from Gulport congratulations and I hope you have a great visit with him. My sailor left a message for me that his graduation was also on the 17th he is a BU. He did not say anything about leave but he did come home after BC for a week. I believe he will be starting C school right away. We were going to go up for the event but with such short notice could not get time off work but we were thinking of going up for the weekend to spoil him a little. Have a great time with you son

Welcome Aboard Lori, and thanks for the invite! Wow, you do live close by!! I live about 25 miles from Gainesville... I see your handsome sailor had his PIR not long ago.. Bravo Zulu to Daniel!! And to you proud mom of a sailor man!!
Do you know yet where he will be stationed?
I have been on a few different navy mom web sites in the past 2 yrs, and I like this one the best because you can post pics and chat with all your navy sister friends..
My son has been in since March 2007.. He's an Aviation Technician and has been in Japan for a year.. His squadron is attached to the USS George Washington.

And yes we must get together!! I will PM you my phone number.

Hugs navy sis!
