About me:
At this time, I'm a worried Mom having a hard letting go. My son has graduated and earned three strips, (E3). I'm so proud, my cup run-th over.
The Navy has served him well. I still worry, but now I know my son is right where he needs to be. :)

The Navy has given my son the tools he needs to be sucessful.He is still learning but he is improving everyday and learning so much.
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.

I apologize for not "being here"!

I think Daniel and Niles are buds - Niles is on hold too and is taking classes to advance himself.

I wa sick to death for over a month after PIR on 2/13 - a few days after I returned I was asking God for a quick death but instead spent the next 6 weeks hocking up a lung. Details too disgusting to share - I'll never fly again! I'll rent an RV instead and drive!

It has taken me weeks to catch up on my work and my business is BOOMING - thankfully! It seems that local businesses can't afford to be in the telephone book and are lining up like lemmings to have me build their web sites - YAHOO!!

So how is Daniel, and how are you dealing with your boy being so far away? Niles calls me weekly but I still miss him so much. Cooking for one is a real challenge too!

Hi Brennie, thank you for your prayers, we are praying as well that all of our sons and daugthers are safe and secure at all times. Although we know that our country needs protection and our children are the front line of protection we still can pray and know with our faith that God answers prayer. Your son seem like a very warm and wonderful guy looking at his photos on your page, I wish I could meet him some day. I would think that my son and your son would seem to have some of the same qualities as a man , just wonderfully nice, kind, warm love people, outgoing, have a great time guy and always smiling, which is a great thing. Well just wanted to say hello and keep up the prayers on your end we are keeping up the prayers on our end and all will be covered in prayer. Love ya much and God Bless.

I agree, no iraq....I'd be with you in the funny farm...LOL
Joshua was also real sick when he got to Pensacola last month and I sent him medicines and nothing worked too great but it finally went away but took it's time. He'll be fine soon :)
Josh is still waiting to start A school so I'm wishing that would happen soon so after he's done then he'll come home for a couple weeks.
it was sooo great to hear from you Brennie and lets keep each other posted on our boys ok....take care :)

Hi Brennie! I am a California "grandmother" and a friend of Roni's. I live over the Sierras from you in Bishop. I have family in the Fresno area, too. My grandson PIR 01-09-09; has completed SCC and is on hold for ATT school, then to A school to become a GM. The hold time is getting to him and he has been sick a lot since being back in the GL area. I think it is hard for a California person to get used to the climate back there. I'm trying to hook up with Roni once the road conditions between here and her place are a little better, so maybe we will get to meet one day, too. Hi, how are you doing, I am sure everything is well. My son has graduated and he is doing well, his division was inducted into the navy hall of fame, because they did over all best of the rest. I was so proud of him and all those that were in his division, because it took all of them to accomplish the task that was set before them and they came out on top. I was so surprized when my son comes out at the graduation singing in the choir and i was over taken by the emotions of happiness and I could not stop crying, I just wanted to hold him in my arms and look into his eyes and know that he is ok. My son has earned two stripes already and I just was so proud of his accomplishments. We had a wonderful time together on that saturday, we spent most of the day together and our hotel stay was great. Well I look forward to seeing him again soon and I thank God that all is well. How are you? glad your son is better, when my son got to Pensacola he sounded awful and he's over it now but it took a while....and I wouldn't want my son going to Iraq either, no way. That is scary.....where is your son now for school? have a wonderful day :)

How is Daniel doing? Sorry I haven't gotten back to you in a few days. It has been crazy here. Ryan graduates this Friday, 3/13 so we have been getting ready. We are driving from NY to Chicago. Leaving on Wed morning. Where will he be heading once he is well enough to go?

Hi Brennie, Thank you for your comment and your prayers, I will pray for son as well. I hope Daniel gets better. I remember when my son would get sick it would last for weeks. My son is E3 as well and his job is an OS working on his E4. He made Junior Sailor and #1 Seaman. I thank god everyday for watching over him. He has been working so hard. Hi Brennie, long time no hear!! LOL Good to hear you're doing ok, sorry to hear Daniel may be catching a bug!! Yeah, I just mailed Gary his second box of clothes and what not. In this box I was going to send him some of my Girl Scout Cookies but...NOT! I sent him some "butterfingers" instead. LOL I mail through the u.s. post office priorty mail, large box and he gets it in GL in two to three days. You're such a sweet mom to bake for him, I know he love you dearly..LOL Gary finally started A school last Thuursday, just gotta be patient. The boys do some times get bored waiting and most manage to stay out of trouble. Has Daniel got his cell or laptop to keep him busy? Take care and hal-la soon!!LOL

So nice to hear from you...my son is still waiting for A school too. Wish it'd be sooner then later. Where is your son at ? and sick too? Joshua sounded sooooo bad 2 weeks ago when he got to Florida and I sent him goodies along with cold meds and vitamins....we can still Mother them from afar can't we? LOL
he's much better now....do you know where he might be stationed after A school?
