Hi Cam
My daughter is at BC now and hopefully will PIR on 03/20. At the very beginning. She is contracted for AirCrew. I am anxious to hear whatever you learn. I am curious how long they end up staying at Gl. How long of a wait in Pensacola before they start AACS and what they do when they are waiting. Also, how do they deal with liberty while they await. Do most parents/loved ones go to graduation? etc. Anything you learn will be greatly appreciated.

Hey Cam--well it looks like Chris made it down to P-cola yesterday. I haven't talked to him yet, but Kris said Jon told her he was with him at Midway and they were headed out, plus his bank account debits show that he has made a couple of purchases at the NEX down there. Don't know why he hasn't called me yet..wish he would so that I can get his cell to him. I can't imagine Mike only being there 30 days if he is going to aircrew school...moms are telling me that many of their kids are backed up 5 months just to start school. I kinda figure it's best to be on hold in sunny Florida than GL, plus they are still getting paid and all of that. Hopefully they will start getting them through so that they can move on.

Cam-Chris is going to aircrew too...do you have any idea when Mike is going to P-cola? Chris's division didn't have orders before the end of the weekend so he was in the dark about it, but real anxious to get out of GL even if it mean't being on hold in P-cola for awhile. They have such a back up down there right now. What is Mike going into aircrew to do?

Welcome to Navy 4 Moms, this is an exciting website and very informative... We would like to invite you to the Blue Candle Lighting event that occurs in your home anytime you wish to light a candle for your recruit sailor or the military in general. This is done to honor their service during the holidays, birthdays, special events or if you just want to. The Home for the Holidays/Blue Candle Moms also ask you join us in this group. This event and group has no special connections to "any one group" We are all Navy Moms, Wives, and we became Blue Candle Moms.... this included everyone on this website. Please come join us and share your stories and your lightings and your holidays with your child...this was done because some moms were not having their sailors home, and we are support group that can share feelings and fears. Annouce your child is coming home or the despair of knowing on certain holidays it is your sailor we light the candles for. To honor them for the service in the past present and future. To honor those that gave the Ultimate Sacrifice for our freedom. We celebrate the freedom to be Blue Candle Moms and the freedom to light our candles anytime we choose. Please think about our group and the Event and when responding tell where you lit your candle, and the reasons for your paticular lighting. the event will continue and once you rsvp come in anytime and update your lightings

Hi Cam! I obviously didn't check your profile...you're in Tucson!? I live in Ahwatukee, just outside of Phoenix (Chandler area). My son, James, is a junior at U of A! So...if we don't bump into each other at PIR (though hopefully we will!) we may see each other at group events...do keep in touch, ok? Safe travels this week! Almost there! :)
