Profile Information

About me:
I have been married for 27 years. Mom of a daughter and son. Very proud of both of my children. I have recently just completed LPN school and now trying to pass the state exam.
I am here to support or represent my:
Chad (Cheedo)
Stage of (Sailor’s) Navy Career?
Enlisted
When I heard “Navy,” I:
Was proud, Encouraged him/her
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
They have to grown up and make choices for themselves. To be supportative of their decisions and only question them when I feel they are straying in the wrong direction in life.
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
The Navy has a lot to offer, This was the best decision he/she could have made

Hey Candy, I saw your son's division marching by while Heidi [my daughter] and I waited in the car Saturday as my husband went to get Hans. Their division was looking good. My daughter commented they marched in step and looked straight and tall and very confident. We saw divsions 060 and 063. They carried their divisional flags with them. Everybody was dressed warmly with knit hats, scarfs, warm coats, and gloves. Hans said when it is bitter cold they also wear ski masks.

Hello Candy, I hope you have good weather driving to Great Lakes Il. Hans' PIR was great last week. He is being sent to Meridan Ms. tomorrow for his A school. I hated our having to leave him last Sunday. He said Sunday, he was feeling homesick and Recruit Heaven didn't seem like much. It is the unknown I guess that was bothering him. He will do fine once he gets going on his schooling. Meridan is between 5-6 hours from home so we can visit Hans. I told him we could visit when his father doesn't have to work on a weekend. Hans is training to be a yeoman and it will take about 5 weeks for his training. He is hoping to be able to work as a paralegal with the JAG. He wants to study Constitutional Law in the future.

Hi Candy, I am glad you got to adopt your son too. We were able to adopt Jared and another sailor. That is one Christmas for the memory books. It was the greatest. Hope you get to meet at PIR.

Hello Candy, I noticed you are from Sparta. My famiy and I live in Cookeville Tn. just down the road from 111. I bet your son was in the DEP program with my son Hans. We attended some of the meetings they had at Cane Creek Park here in Cookeville. We are flying to Chicago this Thursday for Hans' PIR January 2.

Hey Candy....I know where you are coming from with living in a small town. We also live in a small town in NY and there are no jobs around here as well. That's great you got to go up Christmas for the adopt a Sailor program. I didn't know about it until the week before Christmas. I would have gone if I had known sooner. I'm doing alright with my boyfriend being gone. I just try and keep busy. I am really excited about PIR, and can't wait to go. I as well am driving up Jan 8th with my boyfriends family. Its a very long drive, but that Okay, just as long as we make it for PIR. Have a great day and hang in there. Not to much longer to go.

it was nice to hear from you today. I guess I never really prepared myself for one of my sons to join the service it wasn't something that they ever talked about. I work a third shift job so I won't be alone. My husband has taken a military job in va and will be gone for hopefully no more then a year. So i didn't want to be home alone so i took a third shift job which is working out pretty good I think the nights are the hardest part of the day. So keep in touch I know I will need to. have a good night.

Hi, my name is anna and my son also left this week for boot camp. I am having a very hard time with him being gone. He is the youngest of two and we were almost joined at the hip. Having not been able to talk to him since he left is the hardest part. I just want to hear his voice and know he is fine. Sounds silly I know I am trying to get past it but it is hard. My friends do not have anyone in the service so they really can't understand. Thanks for listening.
