I didn't use a recipe - I had heard of a dessert like this at a restaurnat, so I decided to make it. Cut up croissants in medium chunks to make about 12 cups. Put them in a 9X13 baking pan. Make about 6 cups of creme anglaise ( this is a custard sauce - you can get a recipe for it on line in a flash). Pour this over the croissants and let it soak in for a couple of hours. Coarsely chop about 15 dried apricots and drain 1 can of blueberries. Fold the fruit into the croissant creme mixture and distribute 1 cup of heavy cream over the top of the pudding. Bake at 325 for about 30 minutes (just check when you think it is done and take it out. For sauce. 1 stick butter and 1 cup of brown sugar, simmer until sugar is totally dissolved, add 1/2 cup of heavy cream and let it warm up, then add 1/2 cup of bourbon or brandy and cook another 5 minutes. Stir in 1 cup of raisins and that is your sauce. I hope my proportions are about right - I cook so much by sight and instinct. If the pudding comes out too dry - obviously next time use a bit more of the creme anglaise. You might also add some cinnamon (1.5 tsp) to the creme anglaise after it has cooked. I just like cinnamon, but it is not necessary.

Hi Cari,
Glad to hear Eric is in Florida. I'm sorry we didn't get to meet. I wish him well. Anthony is in GL and waiting to start the ATT course.
Take care, Nancy

I see you posted that Eric made it to P'cola...that's great. Hope he does very well. So glad he's there with a buddy from BC and not learning the ropes alone.

Hi Cari,
Yes, division 007 starts tonight!!! I will be getting a call on my way up there tomorrow!! That stinks that Eric doesn't get to do it until Wednesday night. He will be tired Friday morning. I agree, I do feel more connected to Anthony by keeping in touch with the moms here. My heart is breaking for some of them too. I will be signing off shortly so I can get something done. I plan to actually pull the darn power plug or I will never get out of here! I am leaving early tomorrow morning. So, I want to wish you and the family a safe trip and I am looking forward to talking with you in person - at the meet and greet!!! I will be keeping my eye out for you. Take care, Nancy

Oh I am sure you will make it Cari,
I am stressing out reading about the guys & girls and the moms that are hearing they are out, they are being held back, no they are doing OK. I feel so bad for them. What a roller coaster!! I pray that everyone makes it through, including all the moms LOL
Do you know when Eric is doing battle stations?
I am trying to stay away from the site so I can get somethings done, but, I don't have to tell you, it is like a magnet. I am off to bed now, hope you sleep well tonight.

Wow Cari,
14 hours one way, you're a better women then I. No way I would attempt that. New York from here is about 9 hours, that's my limit. Well, have a safe trip and we will see you at the Meet & Greet.

Hi Cari,
I don't think we are going to know much of anything until they actually do it. Anthony wants food, I don't think he is going to be too fussy, except he won't eat fast food. So I better pack my wallet and be ready!! He thinks he lost weight since he has been there. He hasn't been working out much, compared to what he use to do, so he is concerned that he has lost muscle weight. At least when he has some free time he will be able to do more running. I am a bit frantic, I don't have that much to do, but I feel a little overwhelmed. I wish I wasn't working tomorrow, but I am already taking quite a few days off. Are you flying to Great Lakes? We are driving. Seven hours!! Not looking forward to all that time in the car. I have to keep in mind the prize at the end of the trip!!
