Hi Carol,
We enjoyed the boys very much, and hope they come back soon. I think getting away from the base helps some times.

I'm sorry I haven't been on in some time, but have been so busy with all the girls and work. I will be missing everyone when they get stationed. Matt will always be welcomed here if he wants to visit Florida. I know how hard it is for you with him so far away. We are so proud of Christian and all of the boys. They have done so well.

I asked Matt to request me as a friend on facebook so you will be able to fine me or I you. It will make things much easier. As I am on there so much more. I look forward meeting you in November.

Take care and have a good day. Love, Lona

Dear Carol,
I hope you have had a good week. I am sure you have heard they have blown water and a few fish. Christian loved it. Now on to salvage for 2 weeks.

I want to tell you thank you for Matt. Christian is enjoying him as a room mate and he has helped Christian with studing. Christian has had to learn how to study and is doing so well. From what I hear he is right behind Matt in scores. I knew he could do it, but would never apply himself in school. I feel this is giving him a little more self confidence in this area.

Take care and I will try to call when I can. Love, Lona

Hi Carol,
I was so excited to hear they all passed the test. I am so proud of all of them. Christian told me last night the Navy has increased bootcamp to 18 weeks. They got in just in time. They are all boys to me. Christian will always be my baby boy and he knows it.

I have 2 children Stephanie 26. Who has 2 beautiful girls, Madison 6 and Jaycee 2. Christian is 21 and has a girl also eight months and one on the way. My children followed in my footsteps starting their family at 20. We are of course hoping for a boy, but it really doesn't matter. The girls are all great. They all live with us right now. So I enjoy joking that my husband lives in a house full of estrogen. With 6 girls to his one. We wouldn't have it anyother way.

I guess the boys started demolition today. Christian was looking forward to that. I feel the stress for them all each day and I don't think it will end until graduation. We are already talking about attending. We made it to his graduation from bootcamp, but not dive prep.

I try to visit this sight regularly, but have to admit I am a facebook addict. With all of the apps.

Have a great day, Lona

I was so glad to hear from you. Christian was happy to have Matt as a room mate. I know they were studing tonight for the test tomarrow. I am so proud of all of the boys. They have come so far. We live in central Florida near a small town called Dade City. 40 minutes north of Tampa. Most of my family is in Illinois near Decator. That is were my parents were from. Getting tired of the cold they moved here.

Back to the boys I try to keep in touch and ask about as meny as I know or know of. We now have skype and are able to talk to Christian everyday on it. It also helps him to see his daughter who is nine months old.

My house number is 352-583-3496. I don't have good signal on my cell at home. Cell number is 813-312-5040. I work in a restaruant so I have strange hours some days some nights, but I would love to chat. It has been such a hard time having Christian away.

Take Care, Lona

Dear Carol,
I am so excited, I found out tonight your son is my sons room mate. I met him July l2th when we went to deliver a truck to my son. They may be coming to our house if they can get to leave for a weekend to bring it back since Christian bought a car. I had brittany (my sons wife) ask him if anyone in his class was named Matt and that was when we found out. I would love to hear from you. Lona

Hey Carol,
I would love to chat. My son graduated boot camp 4/17 Div 822. He was in class with your son and went to PC on 7/10. And is in Class now. We are from Florida and have been up to see him and take him a truck and a few other things. I usually check the divers group and chat. I was so excited to find a mother whose son is in with mine. Take care, Lona

Hi Carol~The boys are only allowed 4 guests to attend grad. you need to let your son know who will be coming as they need to put them on the list. If they are not on the list they dont get in. everyone needs id. you get a pass for your car to get on base. (should have come in the grad pack) They do say that if they have room and you have more than 4 coming that they can wait at the gate and if there is room they will let them in accordingly.
My mother is coming with me. My husband and daughter couldnt make it. (they are pretty bummed) I hope that that answers your question. You dont receive a ticket, you are just put on a list by your son.
