I'm the librarian for our local school district. I am a single mom and my only child is proudly serving in the Navy.

From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
I've been around the Navy in some form for most of my adult life. The one thing I've learne and/or witnessed is that the spouse support system is extremely important.
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.

About my Sailor

My son joined the Navy at age 24-1/2. He was married and trying to hold down a job and attend college at the same time. When he decided to join the Navy it was going to be on the Reserve side. Within a couple of weeks he changed to full-time and enlisted for 6 years.

He is currently a GSE3(SW) and has been attached to a frigate out of Mayport, Fl. He has had two 6 month deployments--1 to the Med and 1 to South America. He currently is in Corpsman school at Great Lakes. Right now we are not sure… Continue

We have something for everyone here groups from boot camp moms to overseas moms and moms that like to scrap book. We have meet and greets to events that the moms set up to meet each other and have dinner or an outing. There are groups to help you with each and every step of this wonderful adventure that our children have chosen called the US Navy.

Please tell us about your sailor and what they have chosen to do in the navy and ohh yeah we LOVE pictures of everyone !!
