About me:
I am employed in our school district as a Para Educator at the high school. I love teenagers!! I have a houseful of kids on any given occasion, and I love to watch them sing and dance together and have a good time, all the while, eating everything I put in front of them. I am educated, I have a very deep faith in God, and my church activities are a major part of my life. I have raised my 3 kids to respect themselves and others. My husband, their father, passed away 6 years ago this past May, and I am so proud at how we all pulled together. As horrific as his illness and passing were, we emerged as stronger, more caring people. My husband, his father, and 2 of my uncles were Navy men. It is a proud tradition in my family!
I am here to support or represent my:
Son/Daughter
Stage of (Sailor’s) Navy Career?
Thinking about joining
When I heard “Navy,” I:
Was concerned or afraid
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
I could give advice, but it had been a long time since my husband was in the Navy. Scotty needed to learn how to be his own advocate.
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.

It has been awhile since I visited the site. My son is doing well. We are on the countdown for his company to leave Farah Province and head home. We have a new grandbaby that needs her Uncle Scotty to be godfather! A lot of water has flowed under his bridge since he left the States, but he has grown to be man any mother would be proud of!

I understand how you feel about your Sons position and being newly married. My nephew is in the same boat. He is not only newly married but his wife was expecting any day when he was sent to Afgahnistan in april this year and his son was born 2-3 days later. He was hurt over there in may and sent home for a couple weeks and then they sent him back over there. He has been moved to what is called the Green Zone, supposedly no fighting however what do we know here. It is scary. He is Army. His first duty was being sent to Afganistan. All we can do is pray for all of our Soldiers that they stay safe and return unharmed. We can work on sending your son care packages. you do know that right. You can get boxes at the post office for set price and no matter how much itn weighs it is one price only. Check it out I will also help.

Welcome to navyformoms! My youngest daughter just finished BC and is now in Pensacola Florida waiting to start Aviation School. Wyoming is beautiful Country. My father used to drive us through there when he would get his 30 days paid vacation in the Army and we would see live buffalo, I thought that was so cool!!I am originally from Wash State.
