Carol, you aree lucky if I had even though of having my sons meet someone I pick out they would not like her without even meeting her.

However, it sounds like your son and the young lady hit off right away.

God bless you and your family through out the coming year.

Sorry for the late reply but I recently had surgery and wasnt online too much trying to recover. I am not sure about a ring. If he just graduated the insignia would be a basic tech. Try a couple of these websites J&S designs, xtremecrabwear or do a search on cafepress for EOD. These places do things just for EOD and they may not have a ring but you may find something else he may like.
Again I am so sorry I was unable to answer you sooner.
Take care and let me know if any of those help you.

Profile Information

About me:
I met and married my husband in the span of 2 weeks while we were in the Armor School at Ft. Knox, KY 29 years ago. While active duty, I lost 3 babies. In the next 4 years we lost our 4th and went on to have 4 sons. Justin is 26, Jeremey is 25, Joshua is 24, and Jesse is 22. I come from a long line of Army soldiers and have never been without an ID card. My husband, Tim retired from Ft. Hood, TX in 1993 and has worked for General Dynamics ever since. He is currently on his 3rd tour to Iraq. Our oldest, Justin, is on his 3rd tour as a civilian heavy equip. mechanic. Jeremey surprised us all after graduating high school in 2002 and decided to join the Navy as a gunner's mate, and we know so very little about the Navy. After his 2nd deployment to the Gulf aboard the USS Preble destroyer in San Diego, he made the decision to go EOD. He will graduate soon. His dad won't be able to attend, but Mama will have her tail feathers on a plane and headed there. My father was with the 82nd airborne division and my husband was with the 101st airborne division. My husband will return in time to make the jump school graduation and my father will join him for that ceremony in Jan., one I will be very sorry to miss, but our youngest, Jesse, graduates the following day from the Texas Culinary Academy, Le Cordon Bleu Program of Paris in Austin so I must be there to support him, also. I am pretty much a stay at home and pray at home mother and wife, to serve and support the men of my life I've been so blessed with. Our Jeremey is a 4th generation military service member who is in it for the long haul, as a career to retire from some day. My life has changed considerably, from a husband always gone with the Army and a house full of 4 noisy, destructive, fighting little boys, and dear Lord, how much I miss those days now. These days bring me much lonliness, the quiet is overwhelming. It is amazing to be the granddaughter, daughter, wife, and mother of career military men. My pride is immeasurable. Jeremey is a true gift from God and I pray every mother gets one like him in her life.
I am here to support or represent my:

Stage of (Sailor’s) Navy Career?

When I heard “Navy,” I:
Was proud
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
That I know absolutely nothing about the Navy. But since 2002, I have seen how much he has grown, in knowledge, responsibility, dependability, compassion, generosity, and so much more. He has grown from an acorn to a mighty oak tree. He got me over my fear of water and when he does come home, we go to the pool on Ft. Hood every day. He taught me to love the water and I've found it has great theraputic value and that swimming is the greatest form of exercise. My son has showed me that the Navy is a great way of life and has ladened me with the most magnificent gifts from every port his ship pulled in to, including 3 beautiful oil paintings from Phuket, Thailand, just 1 week before the Tsunami hit there. He is a better son, a better brother, and a better person thanks to the U.S. Navy and I am so thankful that he found this calling early in his life.
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
Our relationship has grown stronger, This was a maturing experience, The Navy has a lot to offer, This was the best decision he/she could have made
