Dianne, my daughter and sailor son in law are stationed in Japan. They seem to like it fairly well. We talk with each other on Skype daily. Its just like being there.

It's good to hear from you,Carolyn! I wasn't in Norfolk when the ship left Friday,and it's a decision I regret.Patrick asked us not to come because it's so hard to pull away with your family standing on the pier,he said. This is his 2nd deployment with the Stout. He has been on 2 other ships, and he finds the Stout to be the best yet.
Have you signed up on the Stout Family web page? There isn't much info there now,but as time goes on,it is a very valuable resource.

Hi Carolyn, How are you and your family doing? I hope everybody is doing well. As for me just working hard at work. as for Lewis he is doing good. all most done with A school. Lewis leaves to VA, on November 7th to the boat called the bush. and he also can come home on the weekeds which is nice. I just want to thank you for all your support. sometimes i think of all the love i received from this web site so thank you for being there . Love Susie
