Here is the deal. You can talk to and join with any recruiter you choose UNLESS your son or daughter is still in High School. High Schools are assigned to each station and then within the station a specific recruiter will be assigned to that schoo...

Cheryl, My husband and I were not thrilled about Mikey enlisting. He he went to college for a year and decided it wasn't for him. He had been researching the navy and then decided to talk to a recruiter. Then as you can see what the result was. Well, it's been 3 years this past November since he has been in. And I must say my husband and I never been prouder about the decision he made. He has done so much with his life in such a short time. He is a FMF Medical Corpsman. He just recieved his second FMF pin a few weeks ago. He is doing real well.
Whatever your son decides to do we are here to support you. Any questions you have, do not hesitate to ask. Do keep us posted. You take care.

Dear Cheryl,
Hi and welcome to Navy for moms. I left a message on your discussion.

Glenn will be fine and in good hands with the Navy.
Please don't hestitate to write to me or any other Navy mom. We all went through this, and we're here for you.

We'll tell you from experience, where as the recruiter will tell you things on what the Navy offers, which is true. Going to another recruiter, there is no better deal. The facts and information is all the same.

Please don't hestitate to write to any one of us Navy moms. We'' answer all your questions.

Take care and God bless.
Barbara

I am running days behind but am trying to get to all new members... so will try to catch up tonight.
Welcome to Navy 4 Moms, this is an exciting website and very informative... We would like to invite you to the Blue Candle Lighting event that occurs in your home anytime you wish to light a candle for your recruit sailor or the military in general. This is done to honor their service during the holidays, birthdays, special events or if you just want to. The Home for the Holidays/Blue Candle Moms also ask you join us in this group. This event and group has no special connections to "any one group" We are all Navy Moms, Wives, and we became Blue Candle Moms.... this included everyone on this website. Please come join us and share your stories and your lightings and your holidays with your child...this was done because some moms were not having their sailors home, and we are support group that can share feelings and fears. Annouce your child is coming home or the despair of knowing on certain holidays it is your sailor we light the candles for. To honor them for the service in the past present and future. To honor those that gave the Ultimate Sacrifice for our freedom. We celebrate the freedom to be Blue Candle Moms and the freedom to light our candles anytime we choose. Please think about our group and the Event and when responding tell where you lit your candle, and the reasons for your paticular lighting. the event will continue and once you rsvp come in anytime and update your lightings

Cheryl, Welcome to Ct. Moms. Looking forward to meeting you. So your son Glenn is enlisting. It is quite a bittersweet experience for you, isn't it? On one hand you are so proud of your son and on the other hand you will miss him. Both feelings result in tears. And that is okay. Would love to hear more about your son. You are in the right place for support. We have an awesome group of women. Please feel free make yourself known to us. We welcome everyone with open arms. The more the merrier, and we are a very merry group. So please keep in touch with us. If you have any questions and or concerns we will do our best to help you. Again welcome to our group. Janice
