Hi just wanted you to know that there is a new group for Airmen family and friends....It was started by Jenny who's husband also works on the c-2. Hope you join....have a great day!
Things are hoppin around here. I quit my job in July and went home to take care of my mom while my dad had a heart procedure. When I got back, I deceided to go back to school to get my RN degree. I am going to Weatherford college and it will take me 1 year. I am taking anatomy and microbiology this semester and have been very busy. I will have semester break from Dec. 11 to Jan 11 and I will plan a get together for us. Not sure at this point if I'll be able to do the parade, just depends on school.
Hope all is well with your sailor. Is he still at Groton? Our sailor is doing well. He will be receiving new orders in Feb.
Please tell Erin I said hello. I think of my little friend often. I hope she is enjoying school this year.
Stay in touch. Will plan lunch over the break.
Love, Kate
Sorry I didn't see your son, when I was down in VA and everyone my son asked didn't know your son...We did get to see the plane, a few helos, and walk a pier next to a carrier...All in all it was a great trip, just not long enough. We were also able to meet up with some of the sailors my son had brought home over the last year and take them out to a nice meal. My son is now back on day check and will be going for his "Plane Captain" certs in a few weeks. My son will wear a yellow shirt on the carrier, he lands and sends the plane off.
Hope all is going well for your sailor, please keep in touch.
Trish
Yes AM stands for aviation mechanic and there is only one squadron on the east coast VRC-40. The west coast is VRC-30.
My son works mid day 2 to 10:30 or til when ever....but before that he did do days. My son is Jake Voyton...your son might know him..My son was home this past weekend they got a four day, but he had duty on Monday so left on Sunday.
He did say that AE c school is about 3 to 4 months long.
