Profile Information

About me:
I am a Navy Fiance. My fiance Eric and I are completely in love and plan on getting married during his leave next summer. He's currently in A school in Great Lakes, Illinois and then he comes home for about a week and a half and then he leaves for Japan. I am head over heels for him and he feels the same. I would do anything for him and I am always missing him. <3 I am also a freshman at SUNY Cortland and a physical education k-12 major. I also ride my horse Lincoln on the equestrian team here.
I am here to support or represent my:
Spouse/Significant other
Stage of (Sailor’s) Navy Career?
Enlisted
When I heard “Navy,” I:
Was proud and encouraged it
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
Never believe anything the Navy says because one day they could be going to classes and the next they could be shipped off. I have not had a great experience with the Navy so far because I've found that they tend to lie or make sudden changes in plans that are important. But I am very proud of my fiance being in the Navy. And our bond has grown stronger and he has grown up a lot over the past few months.
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.

Hey girl! I've got a question for you. I noticed on some of your messages that you are skping Eric...what in the world is that??? Is it something you can do on all the ships? Great! I've just mailed envelopes with just photos and some are comical, didn't know they were going to get to see those also. One is of my husband who is bald wearing a big afro wig at Universal Studios! : )

that is ridiculous! I can't figure out why this is cutting me off. I thought they said they fixed it so you could post without being cut off. He said his group is not doing very well and their PIR may get pushed back. That would suck!!!! I gave him the pep talk of my life, I hope it got the fires burningfor him and he can pass it on to the other recruits. Until next time... see ya! : )

Wow!! I totally love that dress! Very elegant and you'll look great in it! When my parents bought my dress for me in 1994, it cost one hundred dollars. It blows my mind the prices some of the dresses go for now. John and I plan on renewing our vows on our 20th anniversary. I hope to be skinny again by that time.
I received my first phone call from my nephew. He did confirm that my cards were getting him in trouble--he was having to open them in front of the RDC. I think

:) :) :) yea!!!! I see you all set a date for your big day--so happy for you!!! Have you ever seen that show on TLC called Say Yes to the Dress? I love that show! That's good that your future hubby has a pal over there even though they are not on the same ship. I just received my 2nd letter from Steven. He sounded better, but said my cards are getting him into a little trouble. I wrote back and asked what the deal was with that--is it becausing I am sending those in leiu of letters, the quantity, or merely the appearance of the cards--too cutesy.

Christiana, I hope you all had a great time while your honey was home. I laughed when I read what he said about school.(Sounds like my husband.) I really needed that laugh today because my first letter from my nephew was very depressing. I wondered how you were doing when I was in Kentucky in a quilt shop. I was buying fabric with my Mom and one piece had engagement rings, cakes, bouquets, etc on it. We both hoped you were doing well with his departure and I think you most definitely are from the sounds of your note. School

So glad he got in okay. Shoot, I'd take him to school with you. A long time ago when I was trying out for a police officer position in KY, I took my husband with me for my polograph test. We were just boyfriend/girlfriend then and he had just gotten into KY from where he was stationed in IL. I didn't know how to get to the testing site and was so totally nervous anyway that he decided to drive me there. He waited with me in the lobby until I got called. As soon as I walked into the room the cop administrating the test laid into me about John being in the lobby. He chewed me out up one side and down the other. When I tried to explain that he was a cop in the USAF and we were just trying to spend as much time with each other as we could, he chewed me out again and said John was coaching me for the test. Now I knew what he was doing. I knew he didn't care a flip about John being there he was just trying to get me riled up. I informed him I didn't need coaching and went on to 'Ace' the test. Afterwards, he was amazed with my results and said he had never seen someone with a better test and that he hoped I made it to the end. He even gave me some pointers. Sadly, I made it to one of the final tests and they chose what they deemed a better candidate. Never did make it into law enforcement, but I did the next best thing and married my cop. So take him to class honey!!!!:0 You are most welcome for the list.

Hi Christiana! DOD stands for Department of Defense. All oversea arenas have DOD schools for the children of the military branches I knew several teachers who loved those schools and I am sure have retired from them by now. I recently worked with a gentleman who is a retired flight attendant and he can't wait to finish his degree so he can try to get into a DOD school in Italy.

Christiana,
You two make a lovely couple! After you obtain you degree you should try to get a job with a DOD school. I subbed at Sollars in Misawa and their school was awesome.
