I don't know how any of them COULD go Thursday night. They graduate about 9:00 am, don't they? We will definitely have to see how well our sons know each other. This is all so very exciting for me. I had been so up-in-arms. Looks like I will be almost to our hotel when I get "the call."

See you day after tomorrow.

Kim;
I am waiting for the BS call today. I am almost positive he went last night. Either way, I was so excited when I checked my mail today. On a day we got over a foot of snow overnight, the mail came early. Go figure. It was definitely done just for me. :0) The first thing I looked at was to see if Michael's return address was still the same division. That way I would know if he was cycled back. It was! Then I opened the letter. It started out with "Good news." I cried. He passed ALL his swimming and aced everything else. He said he is no longer really sick and his mood in the letter was wonderful. I am so happy. I know God answers prayer. He is wonderful.

I am washing my coat right now so the red will be nice and bright. I will see you on Friday.

Chris;
I thought your son was in div 88 also. He probably will have no idea if my son makes it or is there. I am fairly positive div 88 goes tonight. One of the girlfriends on here said that her boyfriend told her he would be calling on the 28th. That's tomorrow so I assume BS for 88 are tonight. If you heard different for your son, you are safer going with that.

Hi Chris, Yes, it was your wonderful idea (or your friend's). The messages fill up so quickly it's hard to find an old one without scrolling through millions!

Can you do me a favor? I know when your son calls you will only want to hear about him, but can you think to ask him if he knows if a Michael (I can send you his last name by private message) passed? I still have no idea if he even passed his swimming or the run he was too sick to finish. I am terrified that all the moms from division 88 will get on here and say they got calls and I will hear nothing.

Hi Chris! My daughter is also going to nuke school 4-5 days after graduation that is if she passes Battlestations! She said that she has that Wednesday night and we have to leave for GL super early on Thursday. It is cutting it close. About uniforms: it is my understanding that in the winter we will see them in their blues. Summer graduates wear their whites. They might march in in their blue coats and white face protection because they are coming from outside. I saw a PIR video that showed a winter PIR. There are several on you tube. Elizabeth

I am guessing our sons will do BS at the same time then. Michael had told me on the phone that he passed the diving board part as well. It is the face down thingie that got him. He had the flu complete with stuffy nose and fever and initially failed. Since I didn't get a call today, I am just going to assume it is good news.

I will more than likely not be at the meet and greet. Simply too many children with hardy appetites. If the bleachers begin filling at 6:30 am though, I think we will have plenty of time to locate each other. Forgive me...was it you who suggested a particular color per division?

Hi Chris;
First, thank you for the prayers. I have not gotten a call today so I have to believe he is hard at work. Did your son's division finish battle stations? I am having a hard time following all the posts :0). If he did, then you will have to tell me how the instructors worked with him on his swimming. If not, do you know if he passed the swimming portion yet?
How great that you hsed also. I usually do so until their last 2 years of high school.
Hope to meet you this coming Friday.

Chris-I'm not sure if Briana will go thru Battlestations early also or not... She neglected to say anything about that in her letter 2 days ago. :( Guess I will just have to wait and see as usual. Yes, it sure will be nice to put faces to names at PIR and/or the meet and greet. I want to give everyone a big HUG, too! :) Not much longer now!

Hi Chris, I'm not sure what the difference is between the 2 uniforms. I could probably ask my husbands cousin. (She's recently retired Air Force and her daughter just graduated Navy BC in August). I didn't look at the video you referenced to know either. You see, I am not looking at any of the PIR videos because I want the surprise factor on that event. Even Saturday when we moms got together and one mom had a scrapbook of her son's PIR I didn't look at that either. Our son was so excited, however, when he advised that he'd gotten his dress whites and blues and said how nice they look. Perhaps it could be that they need the one later and they just get them both now for the pictures that they take. He seemed to know how nice the pictures are, that he ordered, and said he'd give them to us at PIR. Sorry, guess I was of no help just guesses here.

Chris, most of the phone calls are earned, that have to work for the calls. I know my daughter get 2- 1 hour phone calls because the did their Marliin Spikes in record time and passed 4 inspections. So I know its hard waiting for that call but hang in there it will come.
