About me:
I'm Colene, and have been married for almost 21 years to my amazing husband, Terry. We have a great time together. (Even better now that we are empty-nesters!!) HA! He was Army, his dad was Navy and my dad was Airforce, so we are very proud that our daughter is also a NAVY girl. Our other daughter is a freshman as Eastern Washington University heading in the direction of Social Work.

My Navy-Girl is currently on hold in SC waiting to be reclassified...so the beginning of her Navy journey has been a bit bumpy. Regardless, we are so unbelievably proud of her, it's hard to articulate.

Personally, I've done massage therapy for 9 years, and love it. I also am a marketer for XANGO and Glimpse, an Intuitive Skin Care (by XanGo).
I am here to support or represent my:
Child/Stepchild
Stage of (Sailor’s) Navy Career?
Enlisted
When I heard “Navy,” I:
Was proud and encouraged it
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
that my daughter has more fortitude than I thought she had. I am unbelievably proud of that girl.
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.

Colene...now that your daughter has been at A school several months, how is she liking it? Em was supposed to go in Feb. 2010, but now they're taking her in August. We're all getting anxious.

Me again. About to call you. but didn't want to forget to leave you this link. I see what happened with your question. you joined the wrong Q and A Group! Yours only has 8 members, not enough exposure and activity. Try reposting your question as a new discussion in this Group instead:

133 members. Still may take a few days or so, but you should get an answer!

Just left you a PM. You really need to read it! Thanks again for sparing the time yesterday and to your hubby too for sharing you! Hope we get to do it again, with the others. Please do keep me updated on Alicia's progress.

Thanks for getting back to me Colene. I understand your recent absence completely. So sorry the road has been rough for your girl recently. :( Your trust, faith and perspective is spot on though, I do believe good-and growth- will come in time. There's just a little too much of that right now for many it seems (btw: I'm not a fan either!) hope things start to move sooner than later. Yeoman would be great. HM does come with it's own level of stress and anxiety's, depending on what path you take, but only God knows what's right for her, and when.

Looking forward to meeting up and talking (and praying) further. Would you be flexible enough to bump our time up to 3 on Sun.? Barbara's former Navy CS son does work that day, but his shift doesn't start until 4. Though maybe we could split the difference and have some time to chat with him before his shift starts. Let me know. I'm PMing you my cell #. We'll be downtown ALL day tomorrow due to my middle son having a performance earlier in the day down at the FOX. We have to drop him at 8a.m., his show isn't until 3:30, ends at 5:30, then we'll probably head over to Riverfront to listen to the Navy band and have dinner, then head over to get our spot for the parade. UGH, looong day!!! What us Moms will do to support our kids huh?!
