Hello everyone! It's been awhile, so to update: Cameron came home on leave in March for two weeks and it was great to see him and spend time with him. He didn't seem to 'hate' going back like I thought he would. He will leave GTMO in September then…

Hi Connie, sorry its been a while, but crazy! Sarah's last day on the island is the 5th and she cant wait! She came home for 10 days around the 4th of July and it was great having her for a holiday. Cameron and some of the guys took her fishing last week, (pics are posted on Facebook) havent learned how to snatch them from there yet lol. But they are great pics and she had such a great time. So many of them have left already and thank goodness Cameron is still there cause I think she may have lost her mind. Do you know where he goes next? Sarah is stopping by on the 9th to pick up her car and drive to San Diego (Coronada) but I dont recall the ship. She is going to the aircondition and refridegeration class and hopefully that will be over around the holidays and she might (BIG) MIGHT be home for them. So how are you doing? Hope all is well, just wanted to touch base and say hello. Check in on you later. you can find me on facebook as Teresa Hansen@yahoo.com or email. much peace to you and yours.

Hi Connie, it's nice to hear from someone close, I'm still in the new stages of this Navy mom stuff, it's hard to get used to. My daughter Alex, is in pensacola now waiting to start A-school, she is very homesick and feeling guilty about leaving her daughter, but she is doing this to give her daughter a better life. How is your son? I hope to hear from you again.

Alex called me the other night and told me he put in for leave the last 2 weeks of June. We are in a suburb of Chicago. It will be so good to see him!

Yes Connie that is my son Alex. Thankls for sharing the picture. This must have been a deep sea fishing excursion they go on when they have a day off. Alex doesn't mention names of friends (I don't even know his roommates names). I am glad they have a nice group of people in the same age group (Alex is 21) to hang around with. How old is Cameron?

Well I dont sing lol but it was at the xmas gathering I think and we were both trying to figure it out hehe. I have some others printed but not down loaded from my daughters camera and he is in several. Just found out 1 of his fishing buddies is a friends son who lives about 10 miles from here but she isnt on the N4M's yet. I didnt even get to see him while I was there...they call him "Country" or "Big Country" lol he is a very very tall young man. I happen to see him in some of his pics on myspace. I told Cameron as my daughter knows him as Cecil it was very confusing to my daughter when I called him Cameron lol, she said I dont know who that is mom lol. Its been over a week since I have heard from her and then it was just a little tiny comment. She doesnt get on myspace much anymore so its driving me crazy not being able to reach her. Her closest friend ships out tuesday for the army and now I feel like Ive lost her guardian angle (he was 33). He did so much for us, rented the condo, gave us his car to use and rented one for himself, then a farwell barbeque and an autographed US Flag. Ive ask Cameron to try to keep me informed thats she's ok. I find it sad I hear from so many others more than my own child. I hope its because she is studying for the JBOQ nomination. She wont talk to me about it, and I hate to ask her cause it seems to irritate her. And since it made others a little jealous, im not comfortable asking them either (not cameron). Just doesnt seem like a nice thing to ask others. Anyway, does he know where his next duty station will be? They should be finding that out soon. Take care and I will send you copies if you like.
