About me:
I am not a Navy Mom in the truest sense.. but my daughter's boyfriend enlisted last December. He is a young man from our neighborhood.. and we couldn't be more proud of him. My husband is a 20+ yr Air Force retiree so we know quite a bit about the military family lifestyle. But, all the services are very different. So, through Navy for Moms I can learn all I can about Navy life and more about how we can support "our" sailor in his miltary career,
I am here to support or represent my:

We are so thrilled you have joined the Nebraska Group!!! We have families in all stages of Navy Life. Tell us a little about you and your sailor. I see that he just PIRd. I have a sailor that has been in year Feb 28 and one that is in the DEP program and will go to bootcamp in July. We are here for one another. Let us know if we can help or have any questions.

PS sorry you all didn't get to have good views of the PIR. You made me realize (because I didn't think about it until you said it as I was so caught up in the ceremony) just how lucky we were. We were seated at the same end they came in because that is where division 81 sat. I did realize that we were lucky to be sitting on the very bottom row and also lucky that Justin was on the outside row on the side that swung right around beside our seats as they walked by. He saw us immediately as we also saw him. Have a good night.

Sorry, I knew it was your daughters boyfriend (I just made a typo and didn't put boyfriend after the word daughters-typing too fast I guess). Well then you are the one up on me since your husband was retired airforce. We know 'nuttin'-haha. Meaning my husband and I nor any of our family members were military. His cousin is retired airforce (just in 2008-she was an ob nurse) but she's out in AZ with her hubby and kids (well now I take that back-her 1 daughter is in SanDiego with the Navy since December-she graduated Great Lakes in August). Funny her daughter has a friend in PNS with our son Justin and told him to watch out for Justin. Justin hasn't found him yet. Hope you don't get slammed too badly with whatever weather is coming at ya. Hate to say it-but our weather was picture perfect beautiful today. It was 77 and I was driving with the convertible top down. Ahhh the joys of living in FL (except for those dreadfully hot hot hot summers we endure-my poor husband hates that time of year because he owns a lawn care company and just stays miserable in the sun).
